Mandela effect is bullshit. We've known for some time that memory is flawed. It's just that you didn't try to specifically remember the cape's color, and since Saitama's costume is otherwise red and yellow it felt natural for his cape to be red. Your brain just filled in your blurry memory with what seemed logical

If I remeber correctly, Saitama's cape WAS red, but at the beginning of the manga. Then he changed to a white cape.

Personally I have no memory of the red cape in the anime.

I honestly can't remember this one for sure because it's been so long since I watched One Punch Man, but if it is legit it apparently didn't affect all of the cosplay and fanart (pic related). Just most of it. Some mandella effect's are bullshit and some are for sure legit. I know that girl in Moonraker had braces for instance. That was the whole joke.

if there's anything cosplayers are meticulous about, it's their costuming. it makes sense that 2015 renditions would have the red cape but I wonder just how recent this was of a change. That Moonraker one and the Fruit of the Loom cornucopia were the two biggest smoking guns to ME but this one is bigger than that I believe. This one has that same lightbulb of confusion going off over people's heads once they see this new white cape
