Funny thing about that. Navigators trying to reach China during the renaissance knew the earth was round and the circumference was about 25,000 miles.

But they didn't know about land in the western hemisphere. So they though sailing west to get to China would be a suicide mission, since ships couldn't carry enough food and water to cross all that distance.

Columbus's proposal was radical, because his own estimate of the circumference was way off, and a lot shorter than everybody else thought it was.

That's why he died thinking he had sailed to China, but all the other navigators realized he had discovered new land.

One day Russia says, "Hey we made it into space" and the next USA is fabricating a moon landing.

One could then argue, based on that theory, that the recent resurgence in space endeavors is a result of the climate change/finite resources narrative, and that NASA is being funded once more to push the idea that we're working towards colonizing other planets by researching space some more, but the reality is that they can't actually get into space so they have to fake space footage so that people don't lose hope because we're on a 'dying' planet.

Secondly, the admiral could be correct. I think perhaps some are extrapolating more from the interview than what he actually said, but let's assume he's correct about there being more undiscovered continents. That doesn't directly prove or disprove the flat earth theory.

Third, governments do lie all the time. Sometimes, very rarely, they also tell the truth. Again, this in and of itself does not lend credence to the flat earth theory, but it is good to question all governments.

Yeah that proves my point. The dust isnt independent from the stars, the backround is stationary completely. The "dust" is the stars, same as the backround.

Even if it its dust (its not) it doesn't explain the non-existent landscape of earth.
