there's this dude in my town that's either a really incompetent mugger or a secret badass

I often take nightwalks around my area in semi-urban uk, and this one time I saw a guy in all black with a sort of black face wrap. I immediately stopped to keep my distance, didn't wanna' get mugged or some shit cos it was around 3AM at this point. dude looked like an urban ninja though.

I was standing by some cars pretty far off, and after about a minute or so of him looking around he broke out into a sprint down an alleyway. this is the point where I'd love to say I followed him and got inducted into his urban ninja club, but I carried on my usual route keeping sure to watch my back.

fast forward about 3 months or so? I saw the dude again, this time I wasn't quite aware it was him, I just thought it was a dude heading my direction, and being that late I decided to cross the road to make it easier for the both of us. minute or so later when he's close enough for my periphery to pick out details, it's this fuckin masked guy, and I can tell he's eyeing me. spaghetti starts flowin' outta' my pockets as I pick up the pace slightly to get away.

as I said, probably just a terrible criminal, but to casually walk around that late, in lamposted streets all masked up? strange shit.

I live in a suburban area. Just a bunch of old white people. Me and a friend in the neighborhood were walking around about 11PM just talking and shit. We walk up this steep road leading up to an elementary school. There's one street light directly in front of us and I shit you not there was this animal standing under it. It looked like it was a Doberman, but it was much bigger and I couldn't see a head on it. I don't think my friend realized and threw a rock at it. He sure as hell realized when it took off in the other direction and he couldn't see a head either. To make things weirder that elementary school is now gated up like a prison compound. Not the only strange thing that's happened on that road either. I'm tearing up just thinking about that dread.

my friend and me were walking around the neighborhood at night, we made our way to the park. We decided we wanted to swing but then we saw a green laser like grid being projected onto the park. We calmly walked away and walked home. I could probably mimic what i saw using a projector but for what purpose would someone do that? Someone was just waiting in a truck at night to scare young adults? there were no homes from the angle it was coming from, theres a daycare and a parking lot but thats it.

I live in a suburban area, pretty calm and quiet. I used to live in the city, but not even there I've witnessed anything like this.
It happened around 3:30-4:00am, I was ready to go to bed after a long night of smoking and playing video games, when I heard a girl screaming on the street, but it sounded so close I thought it was our neighbour, so I opened the window to check out what the hell was going on. I had to look around for a while until I found the source of the screams.
The wall of our parking lot made it hard to see completely, but I saw what was happening. The girl was acutally shouting at a guy. He was lying in the middle of the road, the girl sitting on top of him, beating him up pretty bad, or at least that how it seemed like. The girl was screaming things like "YOU'RE DISGUSTING, EVERYONE HATES YOU", and "SAY IT, TELL ME YOU'RE DIGUSTING". The guy responded quietly, "I won't say it", while the girl wasn't only punching him in the face, but by her movements it seemed like she was kicking him in the balls pretty fucking hard, like I could actually hear her knee hitting the guys balls.
It was also strange how it all ended. I could hear a car was coming, and I wanted to see how could anyone react to these two in the middle of the road at this time. The car stopped a few feet away from them, and the girl ran at the car like a fucking maniac. She opened the passangers door, and all of a sudden the guy ran at her, knocking her down so hard she landed beside the trunk. Then both of them got in the car, and went to their business like nothing happened. The driver didn't say a word, I guess he got used to this shit with these two. The whole story doesn't really sound scary like this, but before the car arrived I wasn't really sure if I should call the cops or what, the girl was acting like a maniac, her voice was pretty creepy.

I dont know about urban, but I live in one of the safest towns in america. It might be important to say that something was fucking with me that cant be explained. One night I'm drinking with a buddy of mine, smoking some weed, and this thick, almost tangible gust of wind picks up. You can hear it say something but only on the wind. picture that. This wind said something vaguely unsettling, but at this point in my life it isnt more than a routine. My buddy hears it too, I can tell by the way his eyes are looking around. Now, being the jackass I am, I wanted to reply "i'm in your high" but something about the rarity of the shared experience told me to tell it straight. I said "you hearing the whisper on the winds?" and my buddy looks at me like I just fucked his mind in the ass. "you heard that??" he says. so I say yeah, "you believe i'm not fucking with you now?" and he just wanted to leave and go to sleep. silly bastard, he might have learned something.

I grew up in a pretty urban location but there's a park (or common for those who know what that is) that sits between my childhood home and the real city center.

I used to walk through that common to get home after going out at night. Part of my walk was pretty well lit and there was never much trouble other than the occasional "dogger" but one night some dude followed me the whole way home, way off the beaten bath for regular people. I doubled back in myself so he wouldn't see where I lived and hid off the path a wooded area.

He doubled back too. He had no reason to unless he was following me.

Little backstory. I live in a city but my grandparents do not. I spent a lot of free time and my summer holidays at my grandparent's because it's eastern european countryside and it's generally pretty cosy to be there as a kid in the summer.
There's a large forest sorrounding almost the entire village/town.
In said forest there's a forester's house. Burnt down almost to the ground. Before it got burned down it was abandoned for quite a few years since the local forester moved to town.
Weird shit was going on there in the early 2000. Some girl was kindapped and held there. Some satanist rituals, killing hens, cats, drawing on the wall, some printed out inscriptions, the usual drug-addicted retard shit you see everywhere where people have access to internet and hollywood movies
People generally avoided the place, it's not like they were scared shitless just "don't go there". Locals called the exorcist like 2-3 times. Apparently didn't work so someone just set fire to the place. But every year some weird anecdotes erode. Typical hollywood cliche stuff like my car engine stopped and couldn't start it, I saw something in front of my headlights etc etc. Stuff you use to scare the children really.

I'm 28 now.
I've had other really shitty experiences too (house break ins, three times, for example).

Worst one of those break ins was when I came back from work in 2008 and went to sleep (I believe it was around 2pm or something like that - remember I work night shifts so sleeping during the afternoon was/is common for me).

Anyway, back then I was still living with my parents.

I woke up with someone knocking on my door, I thought it was weird because my parents never did that so I just asked "Father, is that you? what do you want?"

I heard no reply and started to laugh thinking he was messing with me, so I approached the door asking what he wanted - I unlocked the door and when I opened it I saw 3 guys holding my father at gun point (guns pointed to his head) and holding his mouth closed off.

One of them pointed his gun at me and told me to be silent and keep my head down and tell them where I had money stored etc. I tried to explain I didn't really bring money home but these guys were really scummy drug users (they were wearing really worn out clothes and one of those guys was bloodied).

When I said I didn't have money on me he started to kick me in the ribs and the other said he'd kill my father if I didn't tell him what he wanted to know.

I just pointed to the closet where my cellphone and best clothes were and he took that. He also took my wallet which only had my documents in it but no money.

Anyway, they locked my father in his bedroom and then grabbed me and took me to a guest room which used to be on the basement. I felt this humongous need to do something but felt paralyzed, like everything was about to end and I couldn't do anything about it.

These things have made me a really jaded and distant person. I was never an extroverted person but as time went by I became more and more isolated and wary of everyone else. Gradually I came to hate everything about this place. This country and everything in it. It may sound "edgy" or extreme, I don't honestly care.

I also didn't want it to sound ''blog posty'' but the frustration I felt posting this naturally made me want to vent.

It was probably a gypsy stealing wire fencing or whatever but it's still so scary how it just stayed still that whole time.

Another similar night, we were driving down a dark road and there was a woman up ahead but I couldn't see her face. She suddenly dashed out into the middle of the road in front of us, and I shrieked at my mother to stop the car. She probably fucked the brake pads doing it, terrified of hitting someone, but nobody was there and she had seen nothing herself.
It turned into a regular habits seeing people without faces when I'm tired or spaced or whatever so I have a lot of memories of freaking the fuck out every time I saw faceless people on the roadside or in other cars, but learning to be silent about it. Since I got old enough to rationalise that I'm just crazy it's become rare
