For a cold guess, I's say that some unscrupulos jew found out that Youtube will load similar tags to the previous video therefore they load a pile of garbage to get more viewers and increase advertising revenue.

The viewers that spend the most amount of time on youtube and allowing it to autoplay are kids with shitty parents.

There are three or four main genres of this stuff: live action (very spooky) vids that seem to come from Poland, Vietnam, and southern California, claymation, and computer-animated cartoons (of varying quality, which might make two genres: the cheap and the more expensive). Claymation requires time and effort, so someone's funding this stuff. Some of the videos don't even have ads, though. It's hard to figure out whether these guys are making a profit and how many groups are doing this.

In the past, children's media was largely made by people with experience in education, design and storytelling. I have a few theories about these videos, not specifically about the intent, but how they may have become so prolific.
I think that the original creator(s) of this weird shit used statistics to figure out what will attract children them most, then used bots to get the view count so high that it would be impossible for them not to reach their audience. Seeing the "success" led to people trying to capitalize on the trend, making even more to flood the market.
Another thing that bothers me is that a journalist reached out for a comment from Disney and the creator of Peppa pig, who both refused to comment.

Ok so I decided to give a try and search "Elsa and Spiderman" in youtube.

Clicked on a vid with the topic being "eating shoes" as it was the weirdest I could find in the first page. Despite the weirdness of the title it was kinda "normal" enough for a parent to just ignore it (just a bunch of retards in costumes running and playing with toys, besides the shoes thing), which makes me think the weird videos are mixed with "normal" looking ones intentionally to pass

Then it took me just to click on another random video of those for the scat related ones to already appear in the recommended list.

Also I viewed an asian one and as some anon said it has no ads/monetization. It was weird, it featured a guy dressed as Hulk then some asian girls (normally, stereotypical k-popish dressed girls) farted on his face, then he went with a guy dressed as superman who started doing gay gestures and put on a skirt. Really creepy shit and obviously sexually intended
