I have this deep down almost instinctual fear and am curious if I am the only one.
I grew up in a wooded area and I was always afraid to look outside the window at night. I could never shake the thought that I would look out there and see some deer man creature staring inside at me,
It's tough to explain what I pictured...my mind almost has almost set up some kind of block that won't let me focus on the idea/visual clearly but it is something like this picture but not quite...the head is more human like but at the same time clearly not and clearly disturbing...antlers, dark eyes, inhuman facial structure...some real fucked up shit.
I brought this up to a buddy of mine I grew up with and he knew exactly what I was talking about. To this day I still avoid looking out windows at night.
Anyone else out there with similar experiences/fear?

Now that I live in an apartment complex I don't worry about the windows, in fact, I find it comforting to look out the windows at night because I'll just see the familiarity of urban housing. But when I used to live in a house where the backyard faded into a large grassy field, I'd always be terrified to look out there. There was this tree in the field with a plaque that said "In Loving Memory of anon" (can't remember name) and I was always terrified I'd see a ghostly man standing next to that tree. I wonder why this is instinctual.
