since we're all just sitting here I will share a story that this story reminded me of. My mother grew up in a house my grandparent built on ~50 acres of wooded land in rural upstate NY. Before my mother was born my grandparents lived on this plot of land in a trailer while they saved resources to build their house. Apparently as they began building they both always felt like they were being watched but never really said anything about it because back then muh religions and not talking about that shit. Well one winter day when my grandmother was hauling some fire wood from a small barn/shed they had built she saw a small frail figure of a woman in the woods behind their newly built house watching her. As soon as the woman had noticed that my gma saw her she took off into the woods. My grandmother was a little frightened so waited until my gpa got home and told him. He went out but never saw any footprints in the snow. This went on for months. spring turned into summer and they still felt uneasy whenever they were doing yard work. one day my gma was fed up and explored the deep woods property behind their house. She found an old shack, inside a small bunk and some cookware. nobody around to be seen. The whole way back she felt she was being followed. eventually they just accepted that this woman lived out there. She never did them any harm but they always got this weird vibe and could tell when she was around. This was 50+ years ago so the witch is def dead by now but I've always wanted to go back and find her shack/body/belongings out in those woods.

Firstly you're assuming that the entity is indeed a 'demon'. Which given the geographical location and what we already know is a massive jump to make. Secondly you're assuming that the way to deal with said 'demon' is by application of a Kabbalistic rite. Which is again a huge jump to make.

No, I have a hard time believing in 'magic' and 'demons' which is why I'm arguing against using the LBRP.

I do however believe in the possibility of the supernatural, evidence of which I have through personal experience. No of course there's no hard evidence and it could all be explained away mundanely, but I've had enough contact to convince me that there's something going on. What exactly that is I don't know but I think it's enough to warrant further investigation. Sometimes that requires a little suspension of disbelief but I think like most people here I'm not totally convinced either way.

Which is why I suggest a more pragmatic approach focusing on mental discipline. Not only does that help guard against flights of fancy, but it also produces better research for us and, incase there is something truly supernatural, provides a defence against that.
