That's the only logical explanation there is. It's either that or it's not, if it's not then that's a problem because the alternatives are weird.

Need to check which stars move on that line, they must have built directly above them as depicted in all the pictures.

It might be the sun, or the moon, as it moves over the pyramids and creates the "eye" of it, they must have built it to be directly below it otherwise it doesn't make sense.

Actually when i think about it no astronomical object could move in the sky in a straight line like that, the sun and the moon don't move like that. the earth doesn't rotate on that axis, it had to be something repetitive and not a 1 time event.
also because of perspective it depends on where you stand when you see the eye of the pyramid as the sun for example, so the only explanation for the line would be something that moves directly below it.

The sun rises due east and sets due west over the equator in the spring and autumn equinoxes. So at least on 2 days of the year, everyone on the same latitudinal line would be working with those same two points.

I'd be interested to know if the 4 corners of the pyramids also line up. Like if each corner point is at a cardinal direction or if the side plane is at a cardinal and each corner is at NE-NW-SE-SW. If it's just the point at the tip of the pyramids that line up, that's still crazy, but it would be less complicated.
