Hey there, I have something that im sure some of you will be interested in...

I joined the freemasons when I was 18 years old after taking a 500ug and acheiving "5th dimensional enlightenment". I was basically just pure happiness and love for 3 weeks. Absoluetly incredible but eventually wore off to a state of understanding and love without the euphoric happiness.

ANYWAY

>joined freemasony in 2014 after researching for weeks
>pass the interview process
>on my initiation day I go to the room where my lodge meets
>Nobody was there, was I early?
>start to snoop around because I am naturally curious and want to find out what the story is here
>smell something funny.... Sulphur or gunpowder eminating from this room. Very strong and lingered in my nostrils.
>the room is pitch black except for a yellow orb in the corner of the room. It was a prop or something from when the room was last used.
>wearing a full tux and all of a sudden it gets cold. Im a big guy and I was shivering.
>Freak out and decide to go back to the entrance or atrium to wait.
>Eventually everyone arrives and shit goes as planned but this experience will never leave me.
>End up taking a break from freemasonry until I finish my Architecture degree.... Got sick of the spam coming from the old as fuck members - stupid email chain letter jokes, people taking stabs at me, not progressing fast enough through the degrees (not learning as fast as I hoped at the time).

3 questions....
Does anyone know what the fuck happened in that room?
Is freemasonry worth investing myself in? I am a nihilist so im not sure if its even worth my time... Also strongly dont want to be part of evil forces in this world and I had a really bad feeling about that temple.
Will freemasony allow me back?

Not a Freemason but it seems you don't have the qualities they are looking for with the biggest one bieng commitment.
Lost your chance forever pal. But there are other societies and sex cults out there, you just have to do a lot of networking.
>>
Damn it OP there was no room with an orb ! Only Trump gets to touch the orb
>>
>>19138035
I left as well OP. Maybe for different reasons, but I'm always curious if I'm actually welcome d back.

Most members always say to me "feel free to come back anytime". But I'm not sure I want to.
>>
>>19138035
>Does anyone know what the fuck happened in that room?
Chamber of Reflection. It's where new members change into the ceremonial attire and fill out their philosophical statement while they wait for the lodge to open and start the degree.

Are you a member or not, to have not known that?

>>19138923
>but I'm always curious if I'm actually welcome d back.
Usually, yes. You'd probably have to pay back dues, though. Because unless you tell them you're demitting, they have to keep paying for you.

Same thing. KTs use a CoR as well. Rose Croix does too, but they call it a Chamber of Death. Guess the French like to be edgy.
>>
>>19139626
The chamber of reflection is much different then the preparation room - it has the skull and rooster drawing and all that shit - it's not the same thing
>>
>>19139670
Most places don't have room for them to be separate. So yea, they wind up being the same thing. Or do you mean the cloak room?
>>
>>19139701
I'm mean the 1st part of the Knight Templar ritual takes place in the Chamber of reflection - it's a room with a skull and A drawing of a rooster and memento mori and a hour glass - it's not the blue lodge preparation room - totally different

i have a manual from the free masons that was found in an old rotting barn about to be torn down. the book has been open to the elements for years. the leather binding crumbles when the book is read. a lot of odd stuff in that book. like how to use the abra cadabra pyramid to write messages and hidden chapters of masonry and even lodges that only exist so that members can go there in times of threat. i'll post some pics from the book. and just to be honest op. leaving the masons was a good thing. they made you a member and then criticized you for continuing your education. let them be. if you want to join a group that actually does something worthwhile, join the odd fellows.
>>
>>19138035
There is nothing that is evil about Freemasonry - it's actually esoteric Christianity if you "get it" if you are a nihilist its probably not the thing for you - I went all the way thru York rite and kind got disenfranchised with the members to haven't been in over a year - there is a lot of politics at the grand Lodge level that kinda made me over it. It's pretty much an out of date social club and most probably 99% members don't understand the meaning of the symbolism of the degrees

i sent an email of my commandery to a local lodge and to be honest i have been thinking about attending a meeting to see how it is, many of them wanted the 1883 commandery.
>>
Personally I think the important degrees are Entered apprentice, master mason, mark master, royal arch, and knight Templar. - they all blew my mind a little bit - but endlessly paying dues after that just to have a bunch of old dudes think I was "too occult" started to bore me
>>
i met an old mason who is still in and he told me that you can essentially gain degrees by how much you donate along with your dues. he said that some people pay close to $1500 a month just to hold a degree.
>>
>>19138035
There was a demon or otherwise negative entity there (sulphur smell + cold + bad thoughts)

Who do you thinks "enlightens" those dudes? They who choose the easy way of finding out the secrets of existence from someone else's information instead of making the choice to live life themselves and subject themselves to the suffering and the truths??

>I'm mean the 1st part of the Knight Templar ritual takes place in the Chamber of reflection - it's a room with a skull and A drawing of a rooster and memento mori and a hour glass
Whut. You described the Craft CoR. I'm not sure what KT CoRs you're describing there, but in neither QLD, English, nor Scottish Rite do we use one like that. Just a goblet of wine and some bread. Haven't even seen the Yanks do it that way.

>>19139812
>if you want to join a group that actually does something worthwhile, join the odd fellows.
Man, i respect the OFs, but even they wouldn't say that since public insurance came about.
Certainly an interesting and unique book, btw.
>>
do you have a masonic bible?
if yes, can you post some of the egyptian depictions from it?
>>
>>19139996
>you can essentially gain degrees by how much you donate along with your dues. he said that some people pay close to $1500 a month just to hold a degree.
Sounds like he was in a fake lodge. There are joining fees in the realm of $20-300, then yearly dues are $50-400. But if you want to join any appendant degrees, they have little to no joining fee, and much smaller yearly dues because they have fewer meetings.
But fake lodges which pretend to be Prince Hall or LDH and the like fleece people in such a way.

>>19140112
Blimey, why? Did your preceptory have it's own building, and that building was in Manhattan or something? Even the gents who have Commandaries in W23rd St. aren't anything approaching that. They'd never get members.
>>
>>19140124
Everything I'm saying is accurate at least in my state -I'm not gonna give away the rest of the ritual but its more than you describe
>>
>>19138923
I want to join! I emailed them but they never responded.

>>19140180

>>

>>
>>19140189
I wasn't asking for your license number. Just that i've visited most jurisdictions in Australia, and quite a few in the USA and UK.
>>
>>19140196
I highly doubt it varries much state to state - what state doesn't have a chamber of reflection for KT ?
>>
>>19140247
In Aus? I can safely say QLD, NSW, Vic, Tas, and SA. Haven't been to WA.
And that's under both English (native) and Scottish jurisdiction, which we're all heading closer back to after NSW folded.
>>
>>19140253
I received the order of knight Templar at Holy Grail Commandery #70 - I'll say that
>>
>>19140262
Means nothing to me, bro. Would have preferred you said state instead of preceptory and #. But i guess by saying commandery, ya'll are located in the USA, so it's quite a hodgepodge under GEKT. But i've nay seen a CoR in NY, CT, CA, PN, OR, and RI.
>>
>>19140268
Its literally the First thing that comes up when you Google it.... Its the only one

18 in most places. 21 in a few, but even in those 18 is fine if you're a lewis or in a university lodge. Never heard of 19, but i guess it's possible.

Consider yourself lucky you got bounced. Swearing oaths is serious business. Masonry is evil, behind the old duffers they keep around as a front. Satan is the worst boss ever. Once they think you are one of them, there is no escape. They run everything in our society, so your life will be hell if you pissed them off.

>>19143736
Its an initation fee - upmkeep on masonic temples is expensive - property tax - sometimes lease payments for the building - gas bill, electric bill, food costs... How do you think that stuff gets paid ? - that's my masons pay yearly dues also
>>
>>19144161
>Its an initation fee
No, i get that. I've just never heard of an appendant body charging so much. Our induction fees (so named to separate them from the initiation fee) usually just covers regalia, ritual book, and patents. Sometimes the first year's dues are added. And food is usually by subscription or on the night.
>>
>>19144322
Well chapter was like 30 bucks and council was like $25 but Templar was more than blue lodge for me - everywhere is different the masonic temple there is a very expensive building I thing it was valued at 7million dollars and it's 101 years old so there is a lot of maintaining the building costs
>>
>>19139932
do you learn to fight with it?
>>
What is the purpose of the mason's, for real. I've always found them interesting but I've never really understood what their whole end game was about. It just seems like a occultism based secret handshake club for old rich white guys.
>>
>>19144395
Weird. But that's GEKT as a whole to us here.

>>19144436
Everyone has to do drills, but it's nothing more than you'd see in the military nowadays. Always wanted my preceptory do do actual fencing, but the avg. age is a bit high. Trying to build support for a new one where all the younger lads can get together, though.
>>
>>19144436
No its used for "the modes of recognition" for the degrees - which at that point are technically referred to as orders - Knignth Templar for instance is called order of the temple technically
>>

Listen to your feeling, they are yours indicators. People can sense with feeling energy of places. Be where you feel good. Don't live in fear, live in freedom, be free anon.
