I don't know if UFOs and shit are visiting Earth, but I'm reasonably certain intelligent life is out there somewhere in the universe. I thing that if we develop FTL travel one day we'll do the same things these aliens are doing, flying to far-off worlds and seeing what is going on. Depending on how advanced the planets we visit are, I can see us taking a similar approach to how we deal with un-contacted tribes here on Earth.
