Yes, I know BWP didn’t invent “found footage” and wasn’t all that great / scary. It was new to us at the time and we went in with zero knowledge of what to expect so it was kind of fun.

Sidestory: as you’ve already probably figured out the GF was absolutely terrified for whatever reason but we somehow didn’t pick up on it. Apparently as soon as they got home she was brushing her teeth or taking a shit or whatever and when she came out of the bathroom my buddy was standing face into the corner like the guy in the end of the movie and she screamed her head off and just about pissed herself. Of course we both thought this was hilarious and were dicks to her about it. Somehow he talked her into going camping anyways.
