From a certain point of view, earth is a barren ball of rock.

To become a ghost, you have to have a strong attachment to something on the material plane, so it stands to reason that there is an inherent intelligence required to become a ghost.

They would have moved on and reincarnated as other creatures by now. Heck most beings can just switch between genders or species between lifetimes or after every few lifetimes.

They may have become dino critters on some other planet or in another universe.

When you're dead and you're looking for a new life to live it all has to do with your Interests as a soul, for what you wanna experience.

Source provides possibilities, almost like a google search engine. And wanting to stay on the same planet would just be one interest - but even the same planet doesn't necessarily mean the same version of history.

The Dinos? Who knows maybe alot of them evolved spiritually into dragons, though its likely they continued their (soul) lineage/experience as crocodiles and alligators.since its almost exactly the same experience.

Still, the animals we've got on the planet - emulate the same experiences even if they are smaller. Wolves, Lions, Elephants, Cows, etc.
