Can you give me some comprehensible sources? I'm not sure which ones are good for reading on this stuff...
Trial and error. Research some of the earliest pyramids in Egypt. They start as step-pyramids, then evolve into a pyramid that they had to adjust halfway up (the angle changes drastically )
