The lottery was invented as a way to catch time travelers.
>>19116111
>this future time traveller
So what, one in every 20 lottery winners is an unlucky cunt who gets shot.
>>19116111
So how are they going to prove the winner wasn't just lucky? There's many millions playing.
>>19116111
What a nice reddit thread
https://www.reddit.com/r/WritingPrompts/comments/6frin2/wp_it_turns_out_the_lottery_is_actually_a_trap
So these people are time travelers then?
>>19116333
most likely a fake photo with fake surname and hired actors
>>19116333
Well they're about 50 years ahead of the average weight trend.
>>19116309
You don't have to prove that. It is inevitable that a time traveler will win the lottery.
>>19116111
They shoot the time traveler but the psychic hsts away with it? Thats unfair man
>>19116111
We know that. We learned that when we went ahead. The trap ((they)) are currently using to get us is our own family members. The ones who go back to save their loved ones are caught. That's all you're getting from me.
>>19116591
Lol. Indeed they are caught. Sh*tposting quality 10/10.
But yeah, some lotto winners have to be from the future. There's no other way.
>>19116602
See you soon.
Speaking of Lotto,
why don't the supposed practisers of magic or divinition on this board just get the lucky numbers and enjoy financial liberation?
Perhaps because it's just make-believe imaginative roleplaying? Or their ghost friends aren't capable of doing this and aren't as multidimensional mightful as portrayed? Or is this denied due to rules of even supposed "black" magic?
>>19116617
Good questions. I'd like to know what time travelers have to say about money, though my best guess is that they'd probably say it's not important either through action or by actually saying that.
>>19116111
If time travel is real wouldn't time travelers bring diseases that we aren't immune to into out time causing a plague?
>>19116645

This board was invented to catch dumbfucks.
>>19116111
Except, you can have anyone cash a ticket.
>>19116648
>conspiracy
If that were to be true, I'm sure it would be used to catch deep, shallow, and active thinkers too.
8D24, please help me.

Where do you think Ebola came from? Or AIDS? Or cancer? Or Donald Trump??

The CIA

From this timeline, if he was from the future he would've been more successful

You didn't explain cancer. I win. CASE CLOSED.
>>19116720
Cancer comes from mutated cells, you can get it from exposure to the sun. It's not from the future.
>>19116720
GUYS WE NEED TO FIGURE OUT HOW MALIGN TUMORS CAN BE USED FOR BENIGN PURPOSES.
no it's a really obvious profit scheme
all the lottery tickets they sell are always worth more than the pot
it becomes obvious on the smaller scale. my community had a "lottery" that rewards you $2500 but if you do the math all the "slots" they sell amounts to $3500
>>19116309
>So how are they going to prove the winner wasn't just lucky
they don't need to, the actual calculated probability of winning is impossible without assistance
>>19116740
Aahh, but that's just what
>THEY
want you to think.
>>19116748
But at least one person has to win each time, you're saying it ALWAYS a time traveler?
>>19116764
of course
>>19116764
If the person who won got random numbers, than no, obviously it was just luck. If the person picked their numbers, it was a time traveler or they talked to a time traveler.
>>19116748
the chance of winning a lotto with 5 numbers is 43.949.268. No it's not
>>19116773
>>19116764
For every lottery in existence, there's always gonna be a time traveler who will try to win it. But of course there's always a chance of a regular getting the numbers randomly as well, alongside the time traveller.
>>19116770
That's quite a strange belief to hold.
>>19116796
Well, beliefs tend to be quite strange, that's kind of their thing.
>>19116787
Why are time travelers dumb enough to fall for it every time?
>>19116810
Cuz time goes pretty far back and pretty far forwards, there's millions of time travelers. Believe it or not, not all of them are bright. It's explicitly stated in the time traveler codex (at least in my parts of the net) that big lotteries are used to catch time travelers. I mean, I'm guessing that some of them probably got away with it.
Lottery winner here. As far as I know I am not a time traveler, but it's a neat idea.
>>19116720
The ancient egyptians knew about cancer ffs
>>19116111
I hear a lot of people who win the lottery can't even manage their money and end up broke not long after...somehow I don't see them being clever enough to figure out time travel.
I'd think this to be correct were it not for the possibility that people may have other reasons to want to travel back in time
>>19117257
And where are they now? Exactly, they traveled through time.
>>19116617
I'm doing it today. Winning Powerball tonight
I thought they played chess.
>>19116748
>do some research or some simple math to figure out the odds of winning, how many people pay, and how much they pay per ticket
>nah, that shit must be impossible
>>19116748
>i never win so it must be fake
how did the old farts and rejects that play win then?and they do
