Does anyone here on /x/ own or use a Grimoire as a form of practicing witchcraft? I know if you are not a believer of witchcraft the curses and rituals performed can come back and haunt you with swift retribution. I feel like burning them after you have accumulated so much practice and knowledge is so wasteful. I mean I can kind of see how it would be irresponsible to release such spells and negative energy into the public realm but still.
One witch made over $13,000 off her Grimoire on Abebooks.com

I feel like everything Wiccans do is so secretive and under the radar. You guys even have your own alphabet!! Why is secrecy so predominant in your religion?

because people got buried alive over that shit

But not anymore.
People everywhere all over the world encourage expression of religion and your beliefs.
I think it would be cool for Wiccans to be more open with other people in the public realm and of other religions. Wiccans are not stupid. I'm sure they know much about faith, elements of the earth and creating good energy between one another

Because if you actually read any primary wiccan texts outside of secret covens, you'll realize it's just a ways for sugar daddies to 'empower' women and get themselves a feminist harem.
This is why covens like to disconnect themselves from mainstream wicca, as beyond the pop culture stereotypes it's actually a pretty paper-thin feminist neo-paganism. Not that there's anything bad with that, but 9 out of 10 wiccans will move onto some other occult field pretty quickly.

I'm not Wiccan actually by faith. I just like to learn more about different regions and cultures. I have a great respect for Wiccans.

That person was just greedy. You don't need a fucking book to do magic.
