Honestly you guys seem to have potential for closeness but as I see it you're stuck in an odd dance of sorts where you're both just slightly out of reach, a strange sense of movement leading to a circular sense of stagnation and inability to connect. almost reminds me of an old comedy sketch or something whereby two people look and say "well my friend is on that side of the room so I should go over there", pass each other and end up on the opposite side of the room and repeat this logical process again. I don't know how to describe someone's appearances with the tarot, unless it's using the court cards, but we got some Swords here, which makes me think of a tall and thin person. Scrying is a lot like meditation. I started out doing martial arts when I was young, and my first time dipping my toes in magic was Chaos Magic. Basic exercises in that discipline are a lot like forms of mediation, with one of the first being to imagine a certain shape and not altering it while holding it in your mind perfect and clear for as long as you can. If you understand the exercise and are being honest, then it probably isn't easy at first unless you're some sort of Bodhisattva. A red triangle with an empty middle has it's outline grow thicker, or it's points rounder, or it's hue of red change just slightly. Holding that perfect image is hard to do for longer than a few seconds, and those seconds are a Herculian effort.

Fortunately when you scry in a similar fashion the principles are much easier. What I do is close my eyes and clear my mind as though I were trying to meditate or think of nothing during magic. I relax, and the first thing that I see are afterimages from whatever I was seeing when I had my eyes open. I wait and try to sort of ease my vision, letting those afterimages pass. That's when the magic happens.

I look at the darkness of my eyelids and let my other senses kick in. I see shapes. Often colors. Pictures move, one thing changes into another. My intuition tells me things about the images, and sometimes those feelings are the bulk of the scry while the images remain seemingly simplistic. The symbolism that I get is a mixture of things relevant to me, relevant only to the person that I'm scrying for, symbols in the common lexicon that I might research, and symbols that don't quite make sense yet. Why? I think that it comes from some common unconscious, and the constructs that I'm seeing from my perspective looking in are different that what the future would look like to the one in it. It's collective and fluid. The flow of time diverts, at least in my mind's eye.
