Seriously though. Do they just connect military bases throughout the U.S. to Washington, D.C.? Or do they connect the world's financial centers and government capitals? There has to be some overlap between flat earthers and deep underground military base believers. Have they bored a hole straight through to the underside? Is this the secret to getting past the Mountains of Madness in Antarctica (by simply going under and around) and the one weird trick that they used to build the big plastic dome of the sky and enslave us?

Starting in 1979, Bennewitz became convinced he was intercepting electronic communications from alien spacecraft and installations outside of Albuquerque. By the 1980s he believed he had discovered an underground base near Dulce. The story spread rapidly within the UFO community and by 1990, UFOlogist John Lear claimed he had independent confirmations of the base's existence.
