Thalassophobia thread?
>>19090268
Under the definition provided by Wikipedia, I probably qualify for this, although not to the crippling extent that I qualify for acrophobia. In open water bodies I'm nervous because I can't put my back against something or touch the bottom despite being tall. When I know I'm way up high, depending on the height I either can't move at all or need to be drugged to function normally.
what spooks me is that when you are in open ocean anything could be beyond the mist, you can't see very far and a whale could just come up and gulp you down
I can't be the only one that read it as 'thatassophobia' right?

I don't know why, but I always want to see how deep and far I can go (kinda the opposite of ops phobia)
