Partially correct. Your false notion of self which you identify as, vanishes in light of realization of the absolute self. This is no different from how darkness vanishes in the presence of light.
Also, and because darkness is ignorance, the ignorant self is filled with fear and uncertainty about that which it does not know. On the other hand, the absolute self is singular, therefore all encompassing and thus omniscient, so it is completely at peace.
