What does /x/ think about this picture?
Humanoid Aliens are dumb as hell.
I really liked the Heptapods in Arrival, for example.

literally me

That looks like a "Dr. Slump" character.

>1969
>warcraft dwarf out of fucking nowhere
Some are actual "ayyys", some don't exist.
I think there is one specific alien that appears again and again in that diagram, sometimes with slight variations due to the traumatic experience of an encounter with these beings. From 1947 too present.

>Their language is written without past, present, or future tense; therefore they can literally see the future
>On top of that, if a human learns their circle language they too can see the future
That was a really fucking stupid twist.
>>19068813
You have it backwards. Their form of consciousness is reflected in their language, not the other way around.
>>19066975
Where does the three-eyed giant get his shirt made?
>>19068883
The main character could see the future because she learned their language.
You don't suddenly become a centurian because you learn Latin

It's all bullshit. You can even see how modern culture affected the aliens.
1950s
>the aliens are kinda campy; little creatures like from a sitcom. Weird looking, but small and non-threatening. Clothing is a mixed bag, mostly simple and basic uniforms like those shown in sci-fi shows of the time. Not really useful, but they look sleek and futuristic.
1960s
>aliens slightly more "futuristic" but not over the top. people start copying what others in the past have said but try to make it more believable. aliens in spacesuits are more common, reflecting the race to the moon and the suits astronauts wore. Aliens are mostly humanoid with some exaggerated features like big eyes as opposed to the weird dwarfs of the 1950s
1970s
>refined versions of reports from the 1960s, space suits more common, features are more varied and exaggerated like weird eyes, weird hands, fur, etc. Still mostly humanoid though
1980s
>varied to a much greater level, robots much more common reflecting the growing sci-fi culture of the times and real world robotics research and use going on. Aliens in general seem much more "sci-fi" and fantastical than ever before
1990s
>back to typical grey aliens as reports from the 1980s seemed to not garner the attention as 1970s aliens did. Abductees and witnesses all begin to copy each other's stories to seem more believable, they realize they need to be more coherent and specific if they want that sweet media attention, so they copy each other because it's easier to copy than to come up with shit on your own.
I'd collect them all in an old school rpg tbqh

>Chinpokomon
The most interesting story I read came from Germany in the 1910-20's. I can't remember the exact details but it was roughly
>Giant humanoid robot comes down from the sky
>lands near busy park full of parents and kids
>starts literally zapping people with lazer eyes
>kills hundreds of people
>mayhem ensues
>floats back up into the clouds
There were dozens of eye-witness accounts, and the descriptions were odd because the people didn't then know how to describe an 80ft "robot".
I've been goggling for a source but it's nigh impossible with the amount of fake UFO shit out there
>>19075288
This seems like it would be bigger news if it wasn't fake
>>19072026
you are really reaching in a bunch of directions to come to any conclusion like that.
