It's an easily read, down-to-earth, functional introduction for complete newbies. There are a lot of things it only lightly touches on or doesn't touch on at all that are necessary/important for general wellbeing and getting metaphysically swole, though. First, relax your body. Lay down and get comfortable. When I was first starting out, I'd relax from the toes and relax up from there. You know you're doing it right when your body doesn't seem to exist or matter anymore. Next, relax your mind. Let all your thoughts just melt away. Just let them go. Good stuff. Seeing lots of baby's first posts in this thread, but gotta say that's not the (whole) case. Definitely simplifies a lot of high concepts and takes out all of the personal preference flavors in place of direct and frank information. I genuinely wish more occult writings were done in this style because I don't genuinely believe in magic. I do believe in the power of the mind and idea while also having a deep interest in magic and the paranormal and this e-booklet presents a decent amount of pretty universal information in a highly digestible fashion. It's easy to mistake this disregard of what some may WANT to believe is true as these people not really knowing wtf they're tlaking about, but from my perspective it's because they know and because they feel they've not the time for bullshit that their information is presented in this way.

The "book" in the OP uses language that parallels the mind to computers. While this language is inexact and incorrect, it is easily understood and doesnt require me learning, essentially, an entire new language

Let me also add to my post you replied to because rereading it, I dont think i was clear on the last part. By being able to get into that state of mind on the fly, I meant that state of focus. Relaxation of the body isn't always possible in every circumstance but you should be able to put yourself in the right state of mind instantly with experience. Practice energy manipulation as well. It's also a basic skill that everyone should know.
