Good question. Jediism isn't very secretive, and there are many websites out there which house a lot of information on Force theory and practice. Many Jedi don't believe in a mutable, tangible force which can be used to do things like telekinesis and lightning. In my personal training as an apprentice, I was taught various meditation techniques. I think most Jedi practice Zazen or some variant of it, but for those of us who want to take "using the Force" more seriously, things like Tummo, astral projection, kundalini exercises, qigong, etc. are common practices.

Over the years, something called the "Great Jedi Holocron" has been pieced together using things said by members of the religion as well as clips from various books. There is a section in it for meditation and practical advice for Force techniques, though obviously all entries are subject to individual bias. Still, it's worth a read (even at over 1000 pages). I'm trying to grow spiritually but I don't think I'm any particular religion.. I'm on my own journey I guess. I find beauty and truth in a lot of things, if this is all occurring inside the mind of god, it's not surprising parts of him are in all things. I don't really believe we have a doctrine that is 100% correct. I think Hinduism has a lot of truths in it, mostly because their society has been spiritually focused and dedicated to meditation for a Loooong time. I do look up to Jesus a great deal however and go to church for the community of other people who believe.

Furthermore, archeological finds have revealed that Egyptians as people could range from pale red-head to your typical Subsaharan African in appearance. It's really sad to see so many people with equally ridiculous ideas calling eachother's ideas more ridiculous. Why is God having a son that much more ridiculous that God having a prophets?
