What does seeing white flashes in my vision mean?
They appear as a flash from a white dot, usually accompanied with a slight tingle/off feeling.
It means you should stop staring into a light source
stroke
You should go see a doctor, sounds like it could be a brain tumor or a stroke or something

My mother ended up getting something similar to OP, but it was also followed by a sort of "shadowing" or "desaturation" of her vision where everything would begin to get dark and grey but it wouldn't lead to a black out. Turns out it was just severe migraines but it was a definite stroke scare. More likely it's something relatively minor like a migraine but it could be related to seizures, strokes, or tumors. get yourself checked to be safe.
