this thread will be dedicated to an experiment i created. In this we will have to work as a community to solve the question is the earth flat?
so the idea is we record which direction the shadows face in your area so that as a community we can discover if the earth is flat.
we will need to know where the sun is at any given time according to the flat earth model. If we can get many people to submit there shadow direction and time we can create a map capable of deciding if the earth is flat
if the shadows face this direction the earth is flat

The problem is, how would you validate where each participant was located?
people could submit picture with compass locale and time
actually you would need o record shadow angle and direction

*their
this was resolved 400 years ago
>>19044219
So, do we use a compass? Do we need a standarized length of the object that throws the shadow to compare shadow length? What would be the best time to make the measurement?
>>19044192
We used to lobotomize people like you.

Or we ask a south africa fag and a south america fag to observe the night sky directly looking "south". According to this disc world model they should look in different directions and see different stars/constelations.
spoiler: millions of people already confirmed that this doesnt happen
>>19044192
It's not
>>19044192
No
/thread
>>19044219
What if you got people to report what time of day it was when they lived? Nah, that's way too complicated, there's no way it would work.
>>19044192
that's actually good idea
the only problem is to find people that are not aware of this experiment
cuz flat earth belivers will report positive effects and those not beliving will report false :P
>>19044591
fuck you
>>19044636
you want to lobotomize people because they want to do harmless experiment ?
fuck you

>report positive effects
All they'd be reporting is time of day, location, and angle of the sun.
They wouldn't know if anything is "positive" or "negative" until all the data is collected and compiled.
Of course, I wouldn't expect a flat earther to be able to report location, time of day, or angle of the sun. They are not intelligent, capable people.
>>19046054
No, I want to lobotomize the mentally ill so they are no longer an endless drain on society.
There is literally nothing to gain from coddling you people.
>>19046054
Look, if you want to run a legitimate experiment, go to /sci. They'll laugh at the premise but might go along to nerd out.
Doing this on /x is just going to be a flat earth circle jerk full of Eric Dubay videos
>>19044192
Fuck off with this cancer.
>>19044233
Yeah, thread for /int/
>>19044192
Did a thread on it a while back:

How muslims pray towards Mecca if the Earth is round?

It was resolved more than 2000 years ago you moron. Do you really still think Columbus wanted to prove that the world is round? Wow, you are as dumb as all those flat earthers.
Spoilers: He wanted to prove that the world was smaller than science thought at his time. He was dead wrong and only survived because he hit America.

Prayers work in a direct line. Most churches have closed roofs, mind you!

We've done this about two dozen times, in the last year. The coreolis effect.
