Sandpaper Treadmill: 5x5x8 room with a treadmill like floor, but instead of regular treadmill track, it's replaced with sand paper.

Get some flat sheet metal, long and thin, take it down to like, idk a biker shop and slip em some extra cash to cut notches in one edge. Then get yourself a grind stone ad grind that down. If you have some decent hardwood lying around, carve them into just-bigger-than-your-hands handles, then measure the short edge of your metal sheet and cut a fitting hole into each handle on both sides of the metal. You might add some sort of liquid cement or screws and such here to keep the handles secure, but you'd have to drill the holes on the metal early if you intend to use screws.

You could just go buy a better one down at home Depot, but if you're really about that diy life that should net you a decent crude saw.
