12 ‘Listen to me, Jacob,
Israel, whom I have called:
I am he;
I am the first and I am the last.

13 My own hand laid the foundations of the earth,
and my right hand spread out the heavens;
when I summon them,
they all stand up together.

14 ‘Come together, all of you, and listen:
which of the idols has foretold these things?
The Lord’s chosen ally
will carry out his purpose against Babylon;
his arm will be against the Babylonians.

15 I, even I, have spoken;
yes, I have called him.
I will bring him,
and he will succeed in his mission.

16 ‘Come near me and listen to this:

‘From the first announcement I have not spoken in secret;
at the time it happens, I am there.’
And now the Sovereign Lord has sent me,
endowed with his Spirit.

17 This is what the Lord says –
your Redeemer, the Holy One of Israel:
‘I am the Lord your God,
who teaches you what is best for you,
who directs you in the way you should go.

18 If only you had paid attention to my commands,
your peace would have been like a river,
your well-being like the waves of the sea.

19 Your descendants would have been like the sand,
your children like its numberless grains;
their name would never be blotted out
nor destroyed from before me.’

20 Leave Babylon,
flee from the Babylonians!
Announce this with shouts of joy
and proclaim it.
Send it out to the ends of the earth;
say, ‘The Lord has redeemed his servant Jacob.’

21 They did not thirst when he led them through the deserts;
he made water flow for them from the rock;
he split the rock

Let us pray

Ever-living God,
help us celebrate our joy in the resurrection of the Lord, and to express in our lives the love we celebrate.

Grant this through our Lord Jesus Christ, your Son, who lives and reigns with you and the Holy Spirit, one God, for ever and ever.

A reading from the Acts of he Apostles.

Acts 8

5 Philip went down to a city in Samaria and proclaimed the Messiah there.

6 When the crowds heard Philip and saw the signs he performed,
they all paid close attention to what he said.

7 For with shrieks, impure spirits came out of many,
and many who were paralysed or lame were healed.

8 So there was great joy in that city.

14 When the apostles in Jerusalem heard that Samaria had accepted the word of God,
they sent Peter and John to Samaria.

15 When they arrived, they prayed for the new believers there
that they might receive the Holy Spirit,

16 because the Holy Spirit had not yet come on any of them;
they had simply been baptised in the name of the Lord Jesus.

17 Then Peter and John placed their hands on them,
and they received the Holy Spirit.

This is the word of the Lord.

A reading from the first letter of Peter,

13 Who is going to harm you if you are eager to do good?

14 But even if you should suffer for what is right, you are blessed.
‘Do not fear their threats; do not be frightened.’

15 But in your hearts revere Christ as Lord.

Always be prepared to give an answer to everyone who asks you to give the reason for the hope that you have.
But do this with gentleness and respect,

16 keeping a clear conscience, so that those who speak maliciously against your good behaviour in Christ may be ashamed of their slander.

17 For it is better, if it is God’s will, to suffer for doing good than for doing evil.

18 For Christ also suffered once for sins, the righteous for the unrighteous,
to bring you to God. He was put to death in the body but made alive in the Spirit.

19 After being made alive, he went and made proclamation to the imprisoned spirits

20 to those who were disobedient long ago when God waited patiently in the days of Noah
while the ark was being built. In it only a few people, eight in all,
were saved through water,

21 and this water symbolises baptism that now saves you also –
not the removal of dirt from the body but the pledge
of a clear conscience towards God.

It saves you by the resurrection of Jesus Christ,

22 who has gone into heaven and is at God’s right hand
– with angels, authorities and powers in submission to him.

Funny how the pattern was only systemized in the 19th Century yet the 3 day resurrection and transmutation of lead into gold was talking about for millenia.

I accepted her and even submitted to her, but deep down I know I'm the creator and this is my universe. She can stay on her side of the multiverse and I promise to leave her alone. But she interfered with my side and told the world I was Satan when I'm not.

How do you know God? How do you know I used to hear her? I was with God in the old universe, when God was a boy. I want to love God. He was my brother and I was his sister. I just want to be friends with God and protect her, just like when we were little. There are bad entities out there who manipulated her into thinking they're soulmates and it's not true.

I know it's hard to wrap your head around, that the creator of all time and space, became a human and left a Gospel, and even now wishes to enter into a personal relationship with you.

However, when considering the absolute power of God, such a thing is not only possible, but logical for a Good God.

Why not save his creation?

God, I fear your power.

I do not fully understand your will, your design, your revelation.

I don't know my place in it.

I don't know why here, and at this time.

I don't know why people hide in the shadows.

I don't know what they say about me.

I know this, you are Good.

You are the reference point, universal, of The Good.

From you anything that is Good acquires it's quality of Good from you.

I know that I yearn for this Good.

For you.

I fear Jesus.

I fear the idea of God becoming man.

I fear the Son of Man.

I fear the image of Jesus.

I have seen and I have felt.

I fear for others that they may face judgement.

I'm afraid of you.

I'm afraid of life.

I'm afraid of it happening.

Again.
