not unless FTL travel is possible, as it would require constant acceleration upwards

Why would it need constant acceleration upwards? Stop spreading flat earth disinformation. You don't need gravity when you have density.

Tesla knew that the earth was rather a plane instead of a planet a long time ago, the freemasons of nasa has lied to you for a long time. Gravity and relativity were theories paid to be brought forth to disprove the flat earth by the freemasons. look it up

There is nothing that proves that gravity exist, you think no one ever wondered why things fall before that stupid story you get told in school with isaac and the apple

That makes no sense.

OK, I'll be more polite. How does "density" work in the place of gravity? I don't understand this theory.

You're a fucking retard. Gravity is directly affected by density. The more dense an object is, the more mass it has in less space, making gravity stronger because gravitational force is directly proportional to mass and inversely proportional to distance from center of mass -- and the more dense an object is (the less volume it has), the closer to center mass other objects can be.

Just because density and gravity are related doesn't mean gravity doesn't exist. What the fuck kind of stupid logic is that?

This is a misconception. Vacuums don't pull by themselves It's the air pushing in.

Gravity holds the atmosphere down and creates atmospheric pressure.

lol, never heard of that one. Any flattard want to humor me with this epic argument?
>>
>>19028579
>how can gyroscopes work on a round earth
>>19033039
Actually it's a legitimate question - how does a gyroscope orient itself as a vehicle travels around the curved earth? Hypothetically, if you have a gyroscope spinning vertically, and you travel a quarter of the way around the world, wouldn't it rotate 90 degrees? Or for that matter, shouldn't it rotate as the earth turns beneath it?

However, aircraft gyroscopic controls are mounted in such a way as to always maintain their orientation towards the ground.

>Hypothetically, if you have a gyroscope spinning vertically, and you travel a quarter of the way around the world, wouldn't it rotate 90 degrees?
no. why would it?
I feel like this is another one of those arguments where the flat earther sees something wrong with physics, but there isnt something wrong, he just has wrong expectations because he doesnt understand the subject. It is just like "why cant I see stars in that picture" or my very favorite "planes would just fly off into space on a round earth"
>>
>>19033226
>no, why wouldnt it?

what an amazing answer to a question that you couldn't answer because it would prove the earth flat
>>
>>19033198
Yes, however designing a gyroscope to maintain its spin over the duration it takes to travel a quarter rotation of the Earth is difficult due to friction. Adding energy to the gyroscope over time corrupts the results, since the energy added this way is from the orientation of the moment it was added. To really measure the rotation of the Earth, potential energy must be added once, and then left to its own devices over a 24 hour period

Thus the Focault pendulum was designed:

Anon's question was a valid one, and the person who does understand gyroscopic precession in this exchange is your self. You are welcome for this correction of your nescience, because I understand that as a scientific individual, you value truth more than ego. You may still thank me if you wish to.

This exactly. The gyroscopes in airplanes are continually corrected. They are not built like the classic image of a disc suspended in gimbles. Here are some lovely stack exchanges with more info for those who actually want to learn.

this.

People should at least have a basic understanding of something before calling bs.

There is nothing wrong about gyroscopes working on the "globe model"

If the earth were flat, physics and science would be very different from the way it is known today.

Marines nagivates as it were they were sailing on a flat earth, i dont know how you got it wrong, most of the physics would be the same but gravity and relativity should be dismissed as they are completly bogus, you need just as much faith or even more to think that those to even exist compared to some sort of god
>>
Love all the retarded globers who are fighting a losing battle. Don't think for yourself
>>
>>19037421
Same. Better read up those blogspots because too many people believe in something and just doesnt seem right than to take some papers and a pencil and do the math myself.
I dropped out of highschool because my teacher was a globehead and the scientists are all atheist mason reptilian liars, but thanks to flatearhtsocietytruth blogspot, I dont need to think about big things anymore, since the earth is flat and none of those difficult forces exist actually.
I read the Tesla wikipedia page once.
