What is the truth about the sun?
>>
The sun is my godform.
>>
>>19022054

You're just fucking stupid.

This is a potato quality phone, and also those clouds are thin af. The light from the sun is so strong that it makes the clouds that go in front of it to appear thinner (since clouds aren't solid), and the thinner clouds "disappear".

You can see this effect in the upper right picture quite easily with some of the bigger clouds. The pieces of the bigger clouds in front of the sun get thinned out because the light shines through them so much. The reason this effect s not happening in the lower pictures could be due to those clouds being thicker, or closer to the camera.
>>
I think you are onto something here, don't give up.
>>
Unfortunately there are enough people who think that birds and clouds fly behind the sun that it requires debunking.

By your logic, what is the sun? If it's a hologram, they couldn't go behind it, either. So what do you believe it is?

In the old days the earth had to suns.

The yellow sun and the black sun, the black sun didn't hurted the skin of the people from Hyperboria, living under the black sun gave you white skin and light eyes, while life under the yellow sun gave you red skin.

When the black sun crashed into earth, the great flood washed away the forgotten civilization and the survivors lived under the yellow sun.

The descendants of the black sun won't stop until they create the black sun again, but they don't realize that it's just their blood forcing them.

Cause the black sun can only bring death with it.

>>
>>19022072
Yes, to summarize, clouds that are sufficiently thin let through so much light from the sun that the exposure of the camera does not differentiate between seeing the sun directly, and seeing the sun through those clouds, thereby allowing for the illusion that those clouds or parts of clouds are behind the sun and that the sun is nearby.

Sun looks flat to me. Are there any real photos of a spherical sun?

If the sun is flat, which seems to be the case, just like the moon, earth must be flat too.

But, since lenzen reverse objects, and our eyes contain lenses, we should be living on the bottom of the disc.
There is no gravity, the earth keeps on falling down, resulting in us being pushed against the surface when we jump.

The magnetic field of the sun pushes the moon away, which in turn pushes the sun to go forward. The magnetic field of both keeps them away for earth because of its own magnetic field.

Dude. Use a telescope on a sunny day where you can see the sun. Put a sheet of paper near the ocular and point the telescope at the sun. You'll see a projection of the sun on the paper with the sunspots. Have you ever done that. Now take a picture with that tracking device you have (smart phone) every 10 minutes over a period of time. Lo and behold -- The Sun spins around its axis.

Nice try.
Have you never heard of Rob Skiba?
That guy actually did loads of research. He has many vids on youtube as well. And is not paid by the government.
His research shows the earth is flat.
Then the other bodies must be flat too, right. A spherical sun makes no sense, it's only given purpose is to illuminate the earth. One side is enough to do it.
Just because you learned at school they are spherical, does not means it is so.

All right, I'm back.

You're a faggot.

Just because Neil de Black Tyson and (ugh) Bill Nye are retards doesn't make the Earth flat. Just because this guy makes some analogies and reads from the fucking bible doesn't make the Earth flat. He's selling his books that's all there is.

If you really want to know if the Earth is round or flat, why don't you go around it? Does it really mater?

Neil de fag Tyson and (ugh) Bill Nye are just some idiots in a media war and on some sort of a power trip. Yes, they spout a shit load of sheep pellets every time they say something and claim it's science because they say so.
But you thinking the opposite of what they say is true just because they're full of shit makes you an idiot as well.

Just get out of your house more often. It'll do you good.
>>
>>19024479
That's not how evidence works.

If you want to prove something you have to find something that confirms your observations, not just a flaw in someone else's demonstration.

I'm willing to look into a lot more things than most, I know our explanations for how the Sun works is bogus. We don't know what's inside the earth, hell it might be hollow for all I know.

The Earth isn't really rotating around the Sun, that's just a carthesian system we chose for convenience, centered on the sun. Our solar system ows its shape and movement to the surrounding systems as much as it does to its inner workings.

But every time I see a flat earth argument it's just so unbelievably bad. You all should do a little studying yourselves before you eat up someone else's brain farts.

Claiming the earth is a sphere makes the bible a book of lies. That's why it is important. That is why NASA keeps on making computer images of space, with that poor we-have-to-color-to-give-a-nicer-picture excuse.
And Rob Skiba at least does actual research. He knows what he is doing and he is a Christian. That makes he trustworthy. If you fear God, you don't even wanna lie. Or go on television to become famous.

*Attention Flat Brainers: Please understand that I have absolutely no respect for anything you have to say. So don't waste your time*

Disclaimer: The intended audience for this channel is not flat Earthers. If you are a true flat Earther, you have placed yourself beyond the reach of reason and are subsequently a lost cause. I make videos for people who want ammunition to use against this absurdist movement, which has arisen in social media in recent months. Also, these videos are aimed at people who are being swayed by the superficially plausible arguments flat Earthers are making, but aren't yet committed to this insanity. I have less than zero respect for the flat Earth movement, and if I can speed up it's demise I am happy to do so. Flat Earthers are permitted to leave comments which address directly the arguments being made in the respective video. I will not tolerate spamming, links to flat Earth videos, abuse, lies, stupidity, spreading or any other flat Earther tactic. I will block you without a moments hesitation if you transgress these terms. I don't waste my time trying to reason with the unreasonable. Trying to explain to a flat Earther why they are wrong is like trying to explain to the patients in a lunatic asylum why their delusions are wrong. It's a complete waste of time, and you end up feeling like you are going mad. You can't reason someone out of a position that they didn't reason themselves into.

Exactly this.

Shit, sorry, I skimmed your post too quickly and didn't realize you said we're on the bottom of the disc. Even if I disagree with you, I'll give you that my argument was bad.

Anyway, an important question is what you mean by flat.

How thick or thin is the sun, then? Is it really a thin cylinder? Or is it infinitely thin, being a 2-dimensional figure in what we think is a 3-d world? Is it facing down towards us so we can only see its face, as for instance at noon?

How can you reconcile the fact that it's facing "down" on us at noon with the fact that it appears to come up over the horizon and sink below the horizon, facing us "horizontally" from our viewpoint? and then the changes in angle so its flat face faces us from sunrise to noon to sunset...the sun would have to constantly move so that its face is pointing towards us.

Topologically, however, a sphere from far away would simply look like a circle no matter at what angle we faced it.

What scientific force is there to explain the flat sun's movement so we always see only its face?

If it's infinitely thin, then, unless it was moving so its face always faced us, we should be able, from a certain angle, to see it disappear even if it was in the middle of the sky.

If it is a thin cylinder, we should be able to see it change from the shape of a circle to the shape of a thin line, or the side of a thin cylinder (think of a coin --- for all intents and purposes, we call it a flat cylinder, but it's really a thin cylinder) if we just walk to a different angle (which if you take the OP as truth shouldn't be that hard --- if you can see clouds differently from different angles or from driving a bit, and the sun is between the clouds and earth, how much easier it should be to see the flat sun from a different angle!)

But if that were true, people in the southern hemisphere would have to look north to see the sun.

But in the real world, during the equinox the sun appears to rise due East regardless of latitude.

A fish eye lens can take in about 4x as much visual information as a normal lens. They're used by security cameras for that reason - you can point the camera in one direction and take in 4x the information as a normal lens.

Using a standard lens on a camera in space would mean it would need to be capable of rotating about 45 degrees in all directions in order to take in the same amount of information as a stationary fish eye lens.

Pic related - a standard lens and a fish eye taken from the same angle. Compare the limits of the standard lens' frame to the fish eye.

I know you won't listen to anything I just posted, but whatever.

Or you can not built a tower to reach the heavens on a sphere?

Or there can not be an earth first before the sun like in Genesis if the flat earth model is not true?

Or see all the kingdoms of the world from a mountain?

Or Jesus can not be seen by the whole world if he comes back by everyone on a globe?

Or being swallowed by a whale if the size of the esophagus is really that small?

In other words... we will loose Christianity if the earth really was a sphere. We have to prove earth is flat or we are doomed.

Yes, I've seen that model many times. And that's the problem. Because according to that model, the moon CAN'T go in front of the sun, relative to any position on earth.

It also makes Lunar eclipses impossible.
>>
>>19029396
In reality they are obviously moving. Come on man, dont be obtuse on purpose now.
>>
>>19029407
Anon, in that model, the moon moving in front of the sun wouldn't explain the path of totality, nor the timing of it, nor the angle of the sun and moon as seen outside of the path of totality.

Also, do you know what a lunar eclipse is? It's what happens when the earth moves between the sun and the moon. Can you explain how that happens using this model?
>>
>>19029417
Not the same anon, but giving the benefit of the doubt, your eclipse path would have a straight eastern path, or a northern path. How can this model create an eclipse path starting in the north and ending in the south? By every model I've ever seen from a flat earth you would have a straight line across the tropics

OP - to find the truth about the sun you need to look at it at midday with binoculars. The truth will blow your mind - you will never see things the same again.

not OP but here it is, it's from NASA

Space is international and can't be monetized other than through the use of satellites. There is no space race anymore, space programs are idealogical globalist organizations and aren't motivated significantly by capital gain. They share information and technology because they share a common goal.

>Using a collection of satellite-based observations, scientists and visualizers stitched together months of observations of the land surface, oceans, sea ice, and clouds

Well there you go. Says right there is a composite of many different images.

>>19029271
>I'm not sure, but this may only work because we are on a globe. IDK.

It only works on a spherical-earth model, there's a reason why flat-earth models never went anywhere.

My biggest argument against flat-earthers is navigation at sea. Using a flat-earth model, you cannot accurately navigate across the oceans.
All navigational instruments and techniques rely on a spherical earth model. From simple hand-distance measurements of stars that the Polynesians used, to the Astrolabe and the highly sophisticated sextant.

The observed movements of the sun, moon and stars can only be explained by a spherical earth, and only in this way can we successfully navigate across the oceans.
If you "doubt" the spherical earth, spent 6 months observing the movements of the sun, moon and stars across the sky. Get a small telescope, and take notes of where and when they appear.
Even better, take a picture each day of the sun at local noon (when it's directly south/at the highest point in the sky). Then try to fit a mathematical model to your observations.
You'll quickly find that flat-earth models are incapable of explaining your observations.

But the nitrogen and oxygen molecules are there. They must be causing distortion and lensing and refraction, otherwise you would be able to see fairly far away

When you're on top of a mountain, the farthest mountains you can see are quite visibly sitting level on the horizon but are also faded to the point of almost blending with the sky. That should tell you how the atmosphere obscures things past a certain point

>the atmosphere obscures things past a certain point
Then we wouldn't see the moon, planets and stars setting on the horizon.

Aerial perspective can't explain everything.
>>
>>19030328
>level on the horizon

How do you tell?
>>
>>19030339
No, I'm correct because the atmosphere is thin when your line of sight is perpendicular to it (looking at celestial shit). Even then, it has noticeable effects. When looking at the horizon, you are looking through an incredibly thick blanket of atmosphere because it runs parallel to your line of sight and doesn't just stop like it does when you look into space. That's why the sun is red and ripply at dusk
>>
>>19030357
I concede that it would be very difficult to tell unless you used a huge, far away mountain and the correct math. The point is that the atmosphere causes entire mountains to just disappear and blend in with the sky
>>
>>19030339
My bad misread
>>
>>19030359
Interesting.I always blamed my eyes.

>>19030372
It happens I have a huge mountain chain here and I can vouch that it does occurs as described.
>>
>>19023800
Ah yes, close enough that clouds pass behind it, but not close enough that it stays the same size when planes go above the clouds that are behind the sun, very interesting theory
>>
>>19022054
The clouds are not behind the sun.
Its just that the sun is so bright that a sufficiently diffuse cloud will allow enough light to pass through to create the illusion that the cloud is passing behind the sun.
If you synchronize a camera with a filter, and one without to take a picture of the same cloud you can see the illusion very prominently.
>>
>>19030372
>The point is that the atmosphere causes entire mountains to just disappear and blend in with the sky

Mmm, nope. On a clear day you can see mountains for hundreds and hundreds of miles.

Only thing causing them to disappear is the curvature of the earth.
>>
>>19030339
It is the sun's light and energy diffusing through all the parallel atmosphere that causes the redness and distortion.>>19030357
Ive never seen a moonrise or set sadly.

Do you people genuinely believe the earth is flat, or are you just ironically shitposting? Because I can't tell.

Because they're actually further away from you than the other clouds, so they're closer to the light source. And clouds are made of water. The sun shines through those ones, but not the closer ones. This is because they're closer. Do I make fucking sense?

You realize that's a gag pole, right? It's pvc pipe and ducttape.

Also the north pole is pack ice, it's constantly shifting and melting.

So even if they did place that at the north pole, it wouldn't stay there for long.
>>
>>19030388
>you can see mountains for hundreds and hundreds of miles.
I'd love to see a time-lapse video from the POV of a car travelling west across the Great Plains towards the Rocky Mountains. It would be cool to see the mountains gradually emerge from over the horizon curve.

(or, if the flat earthers are correct, they will reveal themselves in some other way. I guess they'd fade in?)
>>
>>19029417
>the moon moving in front of the sun wouldn't explain
of course it would. The path of the moon isnt perfectly parallel to the surface nor to the path of the sun. The moon changes "altitude". Moon goes in front of sun and blocks it
