Of all the ancient aliens bs i've heard this one seems actually decently legit.
Redpill me on this famous example of UFOs in ancient art. And if its not a UFO then what is it supposed to represent in the painting?

reminds me of a homunculus

Wat

Why would that be the most convincing to you? Because it's a more realistic depiction?
Just look at the art from that time period. There's tons of cartoony looking artworks that a grade schooler could draw.
They didn't always paint exactly what they saw, but instead depictions of it like in >>19019410
Keep in mind they didn't even know what the hell a "vehicle" or even a machine of any kind was. If someone came from the sky in a spaceship with fire and smoke coming out behind it then they would probably make up stories about "riding a comet" or "flaming chariot" or some shit, and then when they go to paint it that's how it's going to look.
This always looked to me like a flying flatiron

That looks like it's supposed to be New Jerusalem in the sky
Also, Marian entities are demons
>>19019410
These look like representations of the sun and moon to me

Anyone else getting weird responses from the system? I feel like I slipped into a worm hole.

It's a cloud break. It's the heavens opening up and announcing the birth of Jesus in Bethlehem to the shepards. Notice the shepard and dog. It's from the Gospel of St. Luke. It's a very common motif in Renaissance paintings and most of them look more like natural cloud breaks than this one. It's just not very well painted.

Correct, it's the Sun and Moon.

During both the Renaissance and Elizbethan era's there were many object in the sky. Perhaps they are carriages of God's angels... or so we thought.

If you look at other painting depicting the same biblical scene, you also see shepards looking at the sky. It's suppose to be an angel.
"and there were in the same country shepherds abiding in the field keeping watch over their flock by night. And lo, an angel of the Lord come upon them, and the glory of the Lord shone round about them: and they were sore afraid. And the angel said unto them, Fear ye not: for behold!, I bring you good tidings of great joy, which shall be to all people. For unto you was born this day in the city of David a Savior, which is Christ the Lord"
It is interesting to note that it's the one of the rare depictions of angels in a less human form like they're suppose to be, and of course you can believe that the angels are really aliens or whatever the fuck you believe, but it's not like the artist here actually saw a UFO or some shit and decided to put it in a painting.

This is suppose to be the sun in the moon. They're not 'vehicles' like >>19020467 suggests, as they have no steering wheel, they just seem to be making odd hand movements like everybody else is in the painting.

Sometimes there are angels, often there are not. You see the bunch of clouds the angel is standing on/emerging from? Same sort of cloud burst.
On the left in the sky, appears to be a finger pointing to the anomaly on the right

They're angels bruh, they do angel shit like that.

Here's an example of what they're talking about close up, it's a pretty common artistic motif from Classical Art.

Unfortunately it's just chipped paint.

That's the host.
And their hierarchical positions in relation to God.
