If the meteor is big enough to wipe out all life on Earth then we all die no matter what, which would render the question pointless. And as you so eloquently pointed out earlier, little ones hit the Earth every day and nobody notices, and it's a safe assumption that OP knows what we do in that scenario: not notice.

His question obviously has the following criteria in mind:

Serous answer: I'd try to make my way out to the country where I have some friends and relatives. they have a greenhouse where we could hopefully grow food and keep from starving, as well as enough guns to put up a decent resistance to anyone who tries to take it.

Well anyway, just hang with family and friends I guess. If we had any knowledge of how much longer we had, we would divvy that up.

Do you think borders would open up if the world was going to end? It would probably be the only way to get a good plan of what to do next, I mean there is already a U.N. If I had at least a day or two before being affected, I'd probably try to drive somewhere with mountains. Find a beautiful spot, reflect and wait to die. The goal of a nuclear strike against an asteroid is not to destroy it, but to redirect it. If the object subsequently breaks apart into manageable chunks that can burn up in-atmo, well, that's just a lucky break.

If a meteorite, large enough to cause an extinction-level event, were to be revealed on news to strike Earth in a matter of days, shit will be fucked. People will go nuts. where ever it touches down, chances are is that it will cause catastrophic flooding on all coastlines across the planet. It kinda sucks that the majority of human lives are concentrated along coasts.

Expect everyone to head to higher ground. Traffic will be soo terrible, traffic jams all over the place. If you live maybe an hour or two drive away from any mountains, you should be okay.

Unfortunately, I live approximately 25-30 miles away from the coast/beach and I live well over 200 miles away from higher ground that would survive the initial flooding. If anything big were to hit us, I know I'm pretty fucked. I'll accept my death and enjoy the last couple days the best I could. Rucking/biking towards higher ground would be possible, but good luck doing that and making it to the destination in one piece. looting/robbing/chaos would be common once news breaks out.
