I keep telling you retards at least once a month that the whole "Flat Earth" thing is a psychological experiment. "They" want to know how much bullshit they can get people to believe when there is NO POSSIBLE WAY they can verify that information themselves.

If I tell you your neighbor's house is blue you can go see it for yourself, with your own eyes. But what if you don't live in that city? You can use Google Maps Streetview, but the image might be old or tampered with. You can talk to someone who saw the house, but they might be lying. There's no real way for you to prove or disprove the flatness our sphereness of the earth. You just have to accept the evidence given to you by other people.

I think it's a precursor to FAKE alien contact. If aliens land on earth are YOU ever going to actually meet one? Will YOU get to go up in their ships? They can trot out some super advanced tech, and some genetically modified people (pic) and say, "these are our space brothers, come to save us! And they want you to take this monitoring implant for your own good."

There is new evidence of the earth plane being either quite large or even infinite, while my belief is that the earths land we know is at the northern pole of a much larger planet than we are led to believe by science and technology

Not all flat_earthers agree on the shape

I have seen some videos showing this phenomenon

Also remember that on a sphere or curved plane that objects seen from such distances would be lower and leaning away from the observer.

How is it then that a camera or lense can zoom in 20 miles and see anything that should be located well below a curved horizon, plainly observed to be flat?

Check out anything you can on curvature of the earth and you will see and understand.

Soon you will be questioning the world around you looking at objects on the horizon, mentally calculating angles.

They say its a small world, but the world really isnt what it seems to be

What i hate the most of flat earth ppl is the ignorance that they have. I mean, XXI century, living on a free information era, where you have almost everything scientifically explained and yet they are saying that is flat.

And what is really fucking crazy is that we have video proofs that earth is not flat, images, and ¡holy fuck! They start to say those are fake ones and that there are a conspiracy to make us belief that earth is not flat.

Flat earth believers prefers to close their mind in that earth is flat despite the proofs that science has give to us.

People with basic engineering skills can do the tall building proof WITH THE HELP OF TOOLS, like binoculars or surveying instruments. So yes, it is within the realm of A SMALL SUBSET OF PEOPLE to prove that the earth is CURVED.

For MOST people you still have to take the word of someone else. The earth being a sphere is easy because there are so many different ways to prove it. It's not that it's easy to prove that the earth is a sphere, it's that's it would be nearly IMPOSSIBLE to fake EVERY independent proof.

With something like aliens (or angels) there would not be thousands of independent verifications, but only a few carefully controlled sources. I'm sure "they" have a formula: "If x# of people believe the earth is flat, then y# of people will believe the (fake) aliens are real. (y=bx, b>1)"

Googling and reading someone fake check the flat earth theory doesn't prove it. At every step you rely on someone else to deliver you the truth.
It's not that the earth is actually flat it's that if it were you would still not believe it.
>>
>>19013643
No, if the earth were really flat I would believe it.

If the earth were flat, there would be clear and unequivocal evidence., and I would go where the evidence lay.

I don't believe in a round earth just because I like round things. I believe in the round earth because that's what all the evidence shows.
>>
>>19013683
You never examined the evidence. This is why your epic argument is always to use google and examine the proofs someone else delivered. This is just blind trust into benevolent authority that obviously would never lie to you.
>>
>>19013733
No, I've seen all the evidence that flat earthers have to offer. Actually that's none, they don't offer evidence.

>They don't. It's distortion, not curvature

Nope, no distortion. Works on perfectly clear days.

>fish eye lens

You didn't even understand the argument. I'm talking about the horizon dropping, not curving.

>not proof of a spherical earth

A shape that casts a circular shadow at all angles is by definition a sphere. So yes, it's proof of spherical earth.

>none of that can be verified by yourself

No, foucault's pendulum, eotvos and coriolis effects, and the change of weight are all verifiable.

You can build your own foucault's pendulum. Sharpshooters regularly demonstrate both Coriolis and Eotvos effects. And you can demonstrate the change in gravity by going to the hardware store and buying a scale, then travelling to different latittudes.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zX3upPW7uw4

>doesn't require a spherical earth

It does, yes. Especially the rate at which stars move at latitude.

>not on argument

The argument is rather obvious. Any sufficiently large object naturally forms into a sphere. Because gravity exists, the earth cannot be flat.

>almost all of them are simulations

You only need one real photo of earth from space. And there are thousands. Meanwhile, there's not one single photo of the edge of a flat earth.

I tried to ask an actual question. An odd thing bothers me and it's pretty simple. It's a trivial thing which boggles my mind and every day I keep wondering. I come from the coast and have never seen the underside of the clouds as they descend over what is supposed to be curved water. This has only recently occurred to me. This started when a friend showed me images of Chicago over lake Michigan at 46 miles away on a zoom in every type of weather at all hours of day and night. I can't deny my eyes.

But that's not what is pushing me towards the flat earth idea more and more. Every day I dip a little deeper and it has been the opposition to the idea that has clued me in. They seem almost infantile in their belief in 'black science guy' and act in an almost fundamentalist fashion towards opposing ideas. Rabid even. Now I come from /pol/ and we pick up on the three types: CTR shills ShareBlue shills, and useful idiots.

The people who 'defend the globe' seem to have an almost religious fanaticism, a deification of sorts, of this model. We live in a time when fanaticism is hand in hand with rabid scientism and a disregard of reality; Bill Nye and all popular science figures suddenly pushing outright lies. And they're celebrated as kind of a new priesthood for materialistic objectivism which itself does not claim to be religious yet is clearly a church - and its dogma is the globe.

Try aiming your telescope at a 747 5 miles high moving at 500mph.

Now try aiming your telescope at an object, not much bigger than a 747, traveling at 250 miles high moving at 17,000mph.

Let's say the Earth is flat. Ok - that changes....what?

All the hocus pocus bullshit can be fucked aorund with. Stories can be told, creepypastas written, theories put out. Ghosts - are they souls, are they pieces of time stuck in a loop, are they conscious? Aliens - are they visitng, atre they observing, is there more than one race? Skinwalkers, vampires, mothman - the list goes on for things you can do all sorts of shit with and have great conversations about.

The Earth is flat - ok. Er.....great.

Whether it's true or not doesn't even matter anymore. It's just fucking boring, and there is nothing interesting about it, and so people can only either attack or support it.

Fucking boring, plain and simple.

It's so typical of sheep that eat up whatever their school taught them to just jump to "oh you must be some sort of fucking stoner to believe in this flat earth shit." All that does is show how weak your position is if you don't even understand WHY you defend something that more and more evidence is showing is just flat out wrong.

You retards defend the fact that people change their theory about the unvierse beginning every week, but then more evidence comes out showing that the horizons are faked, that there is active work hiding the shape of the earth from us, and suddenly you slam the door. it's pathetic, and you should honeslty be ashamed of yourself for being so closed off.

>Flat Earth isn't fun to talk about anon. That's the end of it.

I think it's way fun to talk about.

I think you're missing the appeal of conspiracy theories.

While both ghost stories and conspiracy theories sort of are the enemy of "mundane reality" i.e. school / work / teachers / bosses / authority etc...

While they are both an "escape" from balancing your check book, so to speak, conspiracy theories give people hope that "the truth is out there"

Conspiracy theories are denying "authority" in terms of "what we've been told", which heavily appeals to anyone adventurous or wanting to believe a better world is possible.

If flat earth is true, or if at very least NASA is lying about "everything"... then it means that we are in a near "Trueman Show" level conspiracy.

So that means our maps are all wrong, our technology is controlled by an elite cabal, and we "can" find a way out.

I love the flat earth idea so much because it has this "Ice Wall" mythology. If you could some how cross over the ice wall, you might not find a flat earth, but maybe more earth?

Remember Admiral Byrd's flight?

In a world heavily populated by the offspring of pioneers, settlers and explorers, the idea that there is more to explore is also very appealing.
>>
>>19017073
Personally a conspiracy theory that requires essentially 95% of the world being in on it is just too out there for me to suspend disbelief.

Aliens - maybe the 0.0001% know the truth. That I can swallow.

Ghosts - who knows, none of us know the truth yet. Rooms for all sorts of speculation.

For flat Earth to be a legit conspiracy the sheer volume of people in on it would be positively astounding. It's just way, way too much for me to suspend disbelief and play with. Plus it requires coming up with bizarre reasons why they would hide it to begin with - every single scientist is being paid to tell the world that it's round, every college physics and high school science professor is being paid to teach the world is round, historians and religious figures and and and.......all being paid because of what?

If aliens descended from the stars, our entire culture would change. Religions would be rocked, people would be jumping out of buildings. If ghosts were proven real, suddenly all those same things happen.

The earth is flat we.......uh, all go "huh, that's weird" and wander on with our day because absolutely nothing changes.

I love a good conspiracy even when it's way the fuck out there, but flat earth is just too much.

>essentially 95% of the world being in on
It would be easy to contain it to the .000001% . It's not like there are any private space companies.

The only gate keeper is NASA and other National Space Agencies i.e. all government controlled.

>every single scientist is being paid to tell the world that it's round

I think you're way way way off the mark with this. I've got a degree in physics and a master's in CS with a specialty in environmental simulation.

So I'd qualify to be called a "scientist".

I've done a lot of computer flight simulations, and nothing I've done has showed me that our planet's geography is being reported to us accurately or even than the planet is a globe.

Here is a good physics break down of the fact that gravity almost plays no role in falling objects.

https://physics.stackexchange.com/questions/272978/if-there-was-no-gravity-in-what-direction-would-an-object-float

>The earth is flat we.......uh, all go "huh, that's weird" and wander on with our day because absolutely nothing changes.

I have no idea how fucking lame you are, but people burning globes and throwing away maps and calling for the heads of NASA would be pretty fucking major bro.

Then people demanding expeditions to explore "beyond" the edge, it'd be way more fucking exciting than being stranded on a ball millions of light years away from anything fun.

Sorry man, to each their own and more power to you, I just need something to grab onto and float with in order for me to get excited about a conspiracy theory. A reason why it's a conscious conspiracy that people are working to keep hidden.

Every time I ask a flat earther to tell me why this would be something the government would hide they hem and haw about it and just tell me I'm retarded for not believing. Flat earthers are their own worst enemies because they just don't even make the damn theory appealing.

You're right, people would be losses at NASA and we would have expeditions and it would be a pretty crazy time. But for what fucking reason would it be hidden in the first place?

It just is such a perfect example of a conspiracy for the sake of having a conspiracy, rather than a conspiracy growing from a series of events.

>Every time I ask a flat earther to tell me why this would be something the government would hide they hem and haw about it and just tell me I'm retarded for not believing.

I totally agree with you here. Most people into the mythology / conspiracy do get hostile pretty fast. The Eric Dubay guys is a prime example how he chimps out at people.

>But for what fucking reason would it be hidden in the first place?

I'm not on board with the "flat earth" idea 100%. I like the "flat earthers" who do a lot of research, because the fuck with NASA's / The Government's / Big Brother's narrative.

So let's break down the why into two sections, first being why NASA would fake their stuff, second being why the governments of the world would want us to believe in a round earth.

1. NASA's managers could easily buy parts from their "friends" materials company and take massive kick backs on the cost. This already happens. Now the space program gets billions of dollars, this means lots of room for crooked government contracts.

Now, why would NASA be allowed to fake this shit? Simple, we couldn't look incompetent to the rest of the world. If the rest of the world thought we had a shit space program and no real defense systems, we'd not just be setting our selves up for humiliation, but possibly an attack.

So, no one would whistle blow on how we have a shuttle that can't go to space. If they did, it'd be easy to justify killing them quickly to protect national security.

tl;dr movie studio cost less than a real space program, big kick backs for crooked government contracts.

2. Now the idea that we are on a planet that has vast un-explored regions or is fucking flat, that requires we look at a more "sinister" conspiracy, kind of a "enslave the human race" conspiracy, remember "Dark City" ?

Let's just be real about un-explored land. If there were large bodies of land that were un-explored, government would not want people flocking to them. Remember what a big mess the whole "USA" was? Everyone escaping serfdom to the royals?

Why would they want to let their slaves get back off the reservation? They need us to be paying taxes and good little cubical dwellers, food servers and consumers. They don't want a bunch of upstart settlers / peasants going off and resettling and using up resources on some plentiful land beyond and taking all the resources the corporate owners have already decided to split up amongst them selves.

Now, that is kind of assuming there is "something" beyond the "ice wall".

Now if there is fucking nothing, or as a lot of them are saying, a giant fucking fish bowl like enclosure on it... thats a bit different.

However, if it was reveals that there was some magical fucking wall at the "end of the world", you'd have people flocking there to go worship it and set up churches to talk to it etc... this would create another massive destabilization in the citizen population.

Or maybe there is something really fucked up and horrible at the edge, like prison guards? They just don't want everyone loosing their minds? Maybe there is an alien race that is growing us in a big dish to poke at us?

The reasons could go on and on man, but I think the main thing is control of population to specific regions on earth.

>1. NASA's managers could easily buy parts from their "friends" materials company and take massive kick backs on the cost. This already happens. Now the space program gets billions of dollars, this means lots of room for crooked government contracts.

This doesn't make sense when you look at the budget for NASA, which is one of the SMALLEST government budget items, and has its funding cut very often. If you're trying to launder money, why keep making the "official" budget for the program smaller? Why not launder money through a MUCH larger program, like defense spending or social security or healthcare?

>Simple, we couldn't look incompetent to the rest of the world.
How would this work? The OTHER space prgrams are legit? Don't ALL the governments on Earth lie and fake stuff about space? Does this mean the photos from Russia or China are real?

>They need us to be paying taxes and good little cubical dwellers, food servers and consumers. They don't want a bunch of upstart settlers / peasants going off and resettling and using up resources on some plentiful land beyond and taking all the resources the corporate owners have already decided to split up amongst them selves.
It would be 10000000% easier to not hide the land, but produce a piece of paper that says "this land belongs to ____, and any value produced there belongs to _____."

>if it was reveals that there was some magical fucking wall at the "end of the world", you'd have people flocking there to go worship it and set up churches to talk to it etc... this would create another massive destabilization in the citizen population.
The only reason this would happen is because it was hidden for pretty much all of human history. This is a reason for why you SHOULDN'T keep it hidden.

>prison guards?/everyone loosing their minds?/alien race that is growing us in a big dish to poke at us?
None of these hypotheses give an explanation for why the human govts. would be in collusion with this.

Do you know where the pics were reported to be taken? How far away each time? What angle in relation to N. America the camera was?

Are you aware that these things would affect how N. America looks in the pic?

Have you gone through the archives of the EPIC camera to see if there is any discrepancies in the size of the landmasses? Because that camera doesn't change its position in relation to the Earth, so all the landmasses should appear to remain a constant size.

>I think you're missing the appeal of conspiracy theories.
Conspiracy theories are appealing, Flat Earth isn't. It's quite possibly the least airtight and least reasonable conspiracy theory feasible.
Even reptilian shit is internally consistent, and it has an opening- the public don't know because there are forces acting to prevent them from knowing.
Too many people have been at or near the south pole. No massive fleet of cockblocking ships in sight. Too many people have seen the ISS by eye. Too many people have and use GPS, satellite radio, go on plane flights that don't match flat-earth scheduling, where everyone in every related industry is paid off to lie to the public, the list goes on and on and on.
Reptilians? Fuck, you've just got to assume a few rich schools and exclusive hospitals are sold off. There are already real-world cults and societies to speculate about, and most politicians are sociopathic enough to look like lizards every once in awhile.
You go from "conspiracy" to "fantasy" in no time at all.

Buoyancy has to do with atomic / molecular bonds and how dense / tightly compacted that matter is in one place. Gravity is an unnecessary "occult" force that presents no real value to anything.

Repulsion between atoms is real and an element of buoyancy but the driving force of Gravity. Gravity is functional in all relevant equations, cases, and applications. That's the value it serves, besides having been at this point empirically observed. Occam's Razor says gravity makes more sense because it is the simplest answer in virtually all situations.

It actually makes a lot of sense if you know how government corruption works. As someone who has taken a "friend contract" from several governments, I know the process pretty well.

First of all lets just set the record strait, 18.5 billion is small compared to how much we dump in the US military, but it is a shit ton of money for fiscal year 2016

With that out of the way. The way government corruption works isn't that some "league of shadows" picks what department / program based on merit and then tries to suck up the money.

The way it works is you know the guy, or the guy's family or tight business associate who writes government bids / contracts. All government contracts must go up for a public bid.

i.e. https://www.hq.nasa.gov/office/procurement/index.html

Now, what normally happens is the guy who is writing the bid has been in the business for fucking ever, and has worked with a lot of people in that field. People who go on to make shit that NASA / other government agencies would buy.

So, let's say that "Sr NASA guy" reaches out to "former NASA buddy" who now works at a chemical engineering company, just to ask him what the best space age materials are.

Naturally the guy who worked at NASA and now helps engineer the materials is 100% legit, not even joking or being sarcastic. I was legit as fuck when I took my contracts.

So "Sr NASA guy" and "former NASA buddy" now say

It isnt magic, you just dont understand it. And yes it is needed, because simply being more dense than your surroundings doesnt desribe any force. What "pulls" you down? It isnt density, because density is simply the ratio between volume and mass.

Arguing it's a un-needed theory to explain some phenomenon.

Gravity is a poor explanation for most of the phenomenon that people try to use it to explain i.e. universal expansion.

Which has given rise to theories like "dark matter" to make the theory of gravity work.

The more dense something is, the heavier it is, it doesn't require a magic force pulling on it to give it "weight"

Maybe you are going to start telling me gravity is like gender? And it's based on how you feel?
>>
>>19017450
Coulumbs law, which directly applies to electrical charges, is also exactly the same formula as the gravitational force formula, where you find out how hard two things are pulling against each other.
In any ballistics formulae, you must account for the gravitational pull downwards. These functions might be used for any sort of: stunt jump setup, missile guidance systems(the missile knows where it is at all times), flight trajectory, etc.
Einstein's theory of general relativity, which was proven due to gravitational lensing, an effect gravity has on light even.

To say "name an equation with gravity in it" is rather like asking "name a restaurant dish that uses onion". You could say "well shit, there's like, steal n onion" but then you might say "I've never made or had made for me steak with onion ever. Not valid."
You could be 100% right about that steak thing, you fucking ingrate, put some onion on your steak when you cook it once, it's delicious, but that wouldn't make your point valid.

Body mass index.
So the BMI process itself is a little dumbed down, but the basic just is you're trying to find how dense you are to calculate a rough guess at the fat content of your body.... It's a function of weight versus volume, if you're wondering.
Mind you, what has that got to do with gravity?
Well, we wouldn't have "weight" at all without gravity, because when an object gets denser it gets directly heavier. I'm basically talking shoving more matter into a small place than was in it before.
Think, I've got air in a box, there's some air in there. Same box, replace the air with a lead block same size as inside the box. Much harder to carry.
That's because there's more little-ass pieces of lead clumped in that space than the air had fit. The air had waaaaaaay less little-air-pieces.
Gravity is a function of mass. When more mass congregates, gravity pulls harder. in every direction.
BMI figured out your density by taking your weight, a measuring of how hard the Earth's gigantic mass pulls on little you, and backtracking using your volume to find out exactly how many matter pieces should be inside you. Equations are like little puzzles, you have everything but one piece and you just gotta jumble it right to get the answer.

No alternative is needed. I don't need to factor gravity into any equation to make it work.

They only way you can "force" gravity in the equation is by claiming that weight wouldn't exist without gravity.

>>19017598

OKAYOKAYOKAYOKAY. okay. Guys.

Weight, proper weight, is measured in units of force, Newtons.
This is a measurement of how hard the earth is pulling you down towards it. The earth pulls harder on dense objects, making them feel heavier because the earth is pulling harder on them. That's gravity.

You can collect enough feathers to weigh the same as an iron ton, but you would have a LOT of fucking feathers.
>>
Before this retardation goes any further; there are more forces at work than just gravity. Gases behave in different ways than solid or liquid material. Density plays a role, you are correct about that as well. But you aren't actually educated if you don't realize that density is only a factor to a point; consider this thought-provoking experiment you can carry out, at home, with simple objects. Take, say, a pill bottle and a bowling ball. Drop them from the same height at the same time, and you'll find that they will hit the ground at the same time. Now obviously, the bowling ball is far denser and much heavier and yet, it does not fall faster.

This is why you are fucking retarded. I would implore you to not breed.

To clarify your bowling ball claim just in case anybody was confused..

Gravity pulls more on the bowling ball (because it is more massive, not because it is more dense), than it does on the pill bottle.

The reason they both fall at the same rate is because the bowling ball, having more mass, takes more force to accelerate than the pill bottle.

I'll bite - I study surveying, and one of the fundamental things we learn is how to account for the earth's curvature. When measuring distances and angles, these are multiplied by a scale factor to transfer this reading to a geodetic reading (as in, taking a flat distance and adjusting it slightly to curve it along the earth).

All of our construction is based around this concept. I'm still new to this, but when all of our infrastructure / maps / engineering is built with this in mind, it would be absolute chaos if we built these things to a slight curve yet the earth was flat the whole time.

I did, more than once. And i saw the curvature
>>
>>19021237
I did too. I also live in San Diego and watch the ships disappear over the horizon bottom to top, then confirm the order of disappearance again when I use a telescope and watch it disappear over the horizon bottom to top again.

A flat earth would not have the ships disappear from bottom to top but just fade away.

I don't know who's arguing for or against flat earth in here holy shit you guys are so logically incoherent. I seriously don't know who to laugh at what the fuck
>>

>I don't know who's arguing for or against flat earth in here
Poe's law ensnares yet another hapless bystander.
>>
>>19021237
Obviously all the windows installed on every plane ever are slightly fisheyed to give it that effect you fucking sheep.
>>
>>19008744
Holy fuck you're retarded. I have a parent who works at NASA research lab. I've been in the wind tunnels during testing. I got to see the shuttle launch as a kid. I interned there for 3 summers in college. Nothing NASA does is fake. Kill yourself.
>>
>>19021383
So you told me to get on a airplane for nothing?????
:((((()))):
Give me my money back.

if the earth is flat, how thick is it?

Question for Flat Earthers = If all the water on the edge of the world is falling off, why haven't we run out of water yet?

Clouds are made of evaporated water, going up and thne falling down as rain.

But that water over the edge? Gone forever.

Explain that shit.
>>
The ice wall...
>>
>>19022029

I'm pretty sure flat earthers suggest that antarctica wraps around the entire boarder.
>>
>>19021502
11 and a half
>>
>>19022062
But what about the precipitation? The ice walls aren't going to stop clouds.

Also, why don't the glaciers fall off? Glaciers flow downhill, not unlike slow moving liquids.
>>
>>19022921
Low barometric pressure doesn't allows the storms to rise over the ice wall, like it happens with large mountain chains like the Himalayas or the Andes.
>>
>>19022928
But the "ice wall" pictures the Flat Earthers frequently post often have clouds over them.
>>
>>19016992
at least pol isn't filled with a bunch of schizos who worship aleister crowley. fuck off x
>>
>>19022979
Ive heard it was an ice dome. But that comes with all sorts of problems of it's own.
>>
>>19017394
What determines what floats up or goes down in that picture?
>>
>>19023049
No, they're filled with a bunch of schizos that suck Trump's cock.

>Gravity is controversial.
lol no. Even the classical tests of general relativity show how well understood gravity is. Dark matter is an interesting one, but that's more of an extension to particle theory than an issue with GR (cf. the success of lambda-CDM).
>>
>>19017053
Have any of you actually read those verses?

They very much don't say the earth is flat, or that other shit
>>
>>19017043
>no one makes a dime off the flat earth meme
I'm pretty sure Eric Dubay and some other prominent FE youtubers make a few bucks off their videos.
>>
>>19017357
I think that was actually refference to colour of magic.
>>
>>19023049
head on back now son, looks like trump hasn't had his balls sucked for a full 15 seconds over there
>>
>>19017405
you are fucking retarded
>>
>>19017811

This is absolutely true but meaningless to the layman. I was trying to instill in our ill-equipped friend an idea of what gravity really is and proof that it exists; were his belief that it were solely weight which kept us grounded true, heavier objects would fall to the ground with greater speed.
>>
>>19005492
From a strictly physical standpoint, the creation of a flat, disc-shaped object in space would require such incredibly specific set of conditions. Conversely, it could be done with intervention.

But other than that, there is no way a "flat" earth could possibly form in the realm of natural science.
>>
>>19024015
>>19017811
I admire what you two are trying to do, but you are unequivocally wasting your time.

Understanding how gravity works is something even decent students have trouble with after a year of physics. Explaining it to a flat Earther with half a high school education and a pre-formed opinion is just about the least useful thing you can do with your time.
>>
>>19024029

True, but others following the discussion might learn from the 'knowledgebombs' we are dropping here.

Hell, we may even get some inspired enough to study physics. Lord knows we could use some fresh brains. It's tough though and I have seen some very intelligent fellow classmen drop it in favor of another field. I'll be going into astrophysics myself... The universe is infinitely fascinating.

>Have you ever balanced an egg upside-down? Go ahead, try it right now. It won't work. However, wait until the fall or spring solstice and then try it. It will work, fairly easily.

You're wrong. Remember to try this at fall equinox. Look it up, dumbass

>>

i can't.. must be real
>>
>>19024022
To play devil's advocate that's circular reasoning.
Their flat earth theory obviously implies that conventional science is incorrect. Which is a hell of a claim but it makes your analysis pointless.

Yes, this image was debunked long ago, the one with the larger North America was taken from a lower altitude, thus it appears larger.

You may have you (clearly wrong) opinion of the earth being round, but when the mighty elephants shift and judgement day comes, only we who follow Vishnu shall be spared his wrath. We shall ride the great turtle while the rest of you unenlightened imbeciles perish

There's a website that tracks the ISS and other satellites. By entering your location you can check the next time it will pass overhead, and if conditions are right possibly see it.
