You can't really kill yourself while out of body, since you lose all motor functions. You'd have to get someone else to kill you. In which case, you simply won't be able to return to your body, and your ego will have a much more difficult time dissipating and integrating back into the ether because you'll be too busy freaking out that you're dead.
