This looks eerily familiar to me.

I do remember as a kid (5-7) being visited by like a "fairy God Mother" like being. God Mother as in I had an overwhelming feeling of closeness to it, and quite bright with beams of light or tendrils caressing me. The next day and for the next several years, I would look in the mirror and feel as if I had a real face hidden underneath the face in the mirror. Since then that feeling has past.
