Well GR resolves it as a point mass with infinite density. So it doesn't have a shape under GR. Hypothesis that rely on a physical object usually have it as an ultra dense sphere made of particles ala Preons. The problem is from the outside distinguishing them likely isn't possible.

Black holes are the (hypothetical) remains of stars, when in a sudden flash (supernova) all the protons and neutrons are ejected from the star, and if the star is big enough the neutrons will collapse in on themselves and become a black hole, aka a super-dense neutron star which not even light can escape its gravity.

There are other bits of evidence too, if you would read a book for once instead of shitposting on /x/. Is it possible they're wrong and black holes are something different? Of course. But there are legitimate reasons to suspect scientists are correct, rather than whatever youtube channel you get your knowledge from.

Black holes don't really have a shape. Think of them as a 1D point in a 2D plane(which is in turn masquerading as a 3D space itself).

Black holes don't exist. In the presence of gravity time slows down, but never stops. As a burned out star becomes more and more dense the gravity gradient causes a time dilatation TO AN OUTSIDE OBSERVER.

An easy way to understand why a black hole appears the way it does is trying to imagine a flat 2d world and the beings in them are being pushed around by a force in the third dimension. How would the force in the third dimension look like to them?


If you expand the concept them to a third dimension and see the black hole (a region of space where there is no time) you can understand why it is like it is. As people fall closer to the black hole they become slower and slower, and after the event horizon the gravity is so strong that there is no flow of time.

That's why it's called a black hole, its a hole in the 3D shape of space leaking out probably to a fourth dimension.
