Halloween is fucking dying where I live. When I was a kid, every Halloween night, the streets were flooded with people having fun. Like literally hundreds of people all over my neighborhood. Nowadays, you might see two or three families taking their 2 year olds trick or treating while everyone else just goes to parties. It's really disheartening that Halloween doesn't have that same old spark anymore.

same happened here. mostly because it is no longer OK for children to roam the streets at night, on account of the rape and murder

Also, families are having fewer kids. I think that over the next few years we'll see Halloween become more focused on young adult than kids. We're already getting their with the popularity of Haunted Houses and Halloween Barcrawls

I'm mostly hoping I can make it back to Salem this year. I went last year in late October, but not for very long since I had work in the morning. I had the time of my life, but didn't really get to do a lot of the fun "After Dark" stuff that happens once the sun goes down. Halloween itself last year I'm pretty sure I spent working, which is a bummer considering its my favorite time of year. I also had to deal with every dipshit in town telling me how much they hate it for whatever reason. This year I'm hoping I can at least hit up a friends party and bring my tarot cards for laughs, and maybe go back to Salem closer to Halloween (or maybe not considering how crowded it gets).

I've always wanted to go to New Orleans for Halloween. I love the spooky culture down their, and I imagine they do it up pretty well down there. I got a Halloween themed Tarot deck that I'm bringing with me

Oh hell yeah. Anywhere that has a big halloween culture is a place I want to be. Ill definitely look into it and see if one of these days I can make my way down there too. I love huge Parades and ghost tours and the like.

I live in UK. My city used to it unlike other places but a bunch of mudslimes moved in and replaced the trick and treaters.
