Well he ultimately did but at our level its kind of out of our depth. The important thing to recognize is that it was Lucifer who gave us the idea of self. The ultimate spiritual goal should be to subvert the self at every turn. Don't recognize the self as a separate entity from these competing influences. The denial of the self is the denial of Lucifer's shitty "gift" that has separated us from God. The self is ungodly and always will be and no good comes of its validation.
