What do astronauts do? Scientific testing by following orders.
So you need to recognize the stages of whatever it is you are suppose to test and more important when that goes wrong. You must be able to rely on orders and keep calm even if it looks like things go wrong.

When you are at that level, you as a person are very stable and strong. Of course organizations like freemasonry is interested in you then, not the other way around. Astronauts being masons is a result of the individual potential of an astronaut. You don't need to be a freemason to become one.


When you have big hands does not guarantee you a place in the NBA Hall of Fame.

This is more a question for /sci/. Outside of some minor companies (most of which want experience anyway) your best bet is the ESA or NASA. China doesn't allow foreign nationals in their military, and I'm not sure about Russia or India (the USSR would, but they're not around anymore). Get experience as a fighter pilot, keep trying to get into the space program.

Addendum: Soviets can still join Russia's Military/Space Agency. So if you were born in the USSR your best chance is Russia.

Do you want to be a commander/pilot or a mission specialist?

If the former, become a fighter pilot & preferably a test pilot. Make sure you're in absolute top physical shape.

If the latter, get a PhD in your field (Anything from biology, materials science, chemistry, etc etc), make sure you're in extremely good shape.
