Flat Earth Theory is the biggest truth pill that the vast majority of you refuse to take.
Every war in history was fought to keep this knowledge contained, a faint rumor about the secret leaking about will cause the stock market to crash.

This is the source of their power.
>>
So all the sides that lost wars in history were trying to prove the world is flat?

What about countries that have both won and lost wars?
>>
>>18943304
they changed their stance, obviously.
>>
>>18943304
They will start a war when a private person is trying to bring the truth to light.
In the general chaos that ensues they carry away all those that know.
>>
>>18943294
Bullshit. Every war in history yet there were wars long before the first person ever argued the earth was round. 200 years ago - before NASA - no one was earning money of the world being round.

How is the control of this piece of information their power? IF we all found of the earth was flat from a whistleblower tomorrow, life wouldn't change at all. We'd keep going to our 9-5, to earn money, the true source of their power.

Do some research, the true power comes from money. Like it always has and always will.
>>
>>18943294
How is FET in any way a truth pill. There is little and less evidence to substantiate those claims.
>>
The problem with FET is that there is data that ANYONE can test that shows FET to not make sense. You have to discard so much simple, provable science for it to work. People who believe in this shit are lazy idiots who are incapable of basic mathematics and simple scientific thought, and believe a convenient package that's handed to them. You can literally see the curve of the earth from a plane, or a tall mountain. It's so stupid, it almost makes me upset.

Your map is observably wrong. It fails to account for the constellations in the southern hemisphere.

3 observers simultaneously look out from the southernmost points of Africa, South America and Australia and they will all see the same constellations over the southern horizon. This proves that all of their viewpoints are converging on a single spot (ie, the south pole).

On your flat earth model, they would all be looking in opposite directions. There is no way to refute this.
>>
>>18944237

Time zones. It's not nighttime in all of these places at once. The Earth rotates, and causes a different portion of the stars to be visible at different times of day or night.

So, by the time it is night in each of those parts of the world, they are looking at mostly similar point.

>>18944370
You mean at dawn or dusk, right? Is there somewhere on Earth where you can see stars during the day?

Anyway, let me make this simple for you. The stars have a 24 hour cycle, just like the sun, right? This is the same on either model because you account for the star's apparent rotation in the sky the same way you account for the Sun's apparent motion across the sky (i.e. the Earth's rotation). So even in your model of reality, the constellations will move between these three southern locations and they will never be viewed by all three of them simultaneously.

Not OP and not making the claim he did, but my understanding is that there has been a long tradition of stamping out the sovereignty of individuals and nations for many centuries now, probably going back at least to the Romans or even the Greeks (after all the Romans considered themselves descended from Greeks). The war has been waged against people's traditional cultures and knowledge such as their religious beliefs and medical practices. Today we have half a world full of completely lost and displaced people who don't even know what land or which people they should be fighting for. Europeans have been hit by this harder and for much longer than, say, African Americans. Christianity was the first purge of our native ways, and as Nietzsche witnessed and predicted, this has lead to our current generations of atheism and nihilism.

Think about this: Why do our laws and sciences use Latin terminology so that the majority of us don't understand them? Why were the earliest European Christian theologians using Plato and Aristotle's models of social control to structure their own beliefs? Feudalism England, and I imagine the rest of Northern Europe, began in the forts left over by the Romans. Were these kings just opportunistic natives or did the Roman occupation simply never end?

>The burden of truth is on the one who seeks truth.

There is no "burden of truth," there is a burden of proof. If you have a theory and want others to believe it, you need to provide evidence to support it that's substantial enough to sway their beliefs.

If you don't care if others to believe it, then that's fine. But by virtue of posting on /x/ calling out people who *don't* believe it, you're proving that's not the case at all.

People are asking you legitimate questions about your theory in this thread and you are just cherry picking fights with people rather than answering. I don't know what you end game here is, but it looks to me like it's just trolling.

The idea that people have historically believed the earth to be flat is a myth. Scholars have been under the impression that the earth is round for centuries, taking cues from the Ancient Greeks.

Please. Every mythology in history has a flat earth. You're talking about the Hellenistic Greeks who began to disregard their own mythologies, and not many of them at that.

As I said in an earlier post, the oldest European Christian theologians we have on record drew a lot of influence from Plato and Aristotle. Two students of the Pythagorean theory that the Earth was round, based on absolutely no evidence.

if nothing else I think the idea that NASA lies and what we know about space travel is all pretty much built on those lies is becoming more and more of a mainstream/accepted theory.

I think it's not even debatable that a load of what NASA does is a hoax. And I think even if flat earth is wrong and crazy, it had a HUGE impact on exposing a lot of the total bs NASA loves shoving down our throats.

I watch the Joe Rogan show and I think he said he wanted to get Eddie Bravo on with Neil Degrasse Tyson. I think if Eddie or Joe were able to bring up some of these blatant NASA greenscreen effects to Neil and asked him to explain instead of being pussies you would get some interesting discussion.

In one of them it shows the astronaut in front of a green screen with a green ball floating around him, then it cuts to the "finished product" aka he is greenscreened into the ISS and the greenball was edited to look like water bubble floating around him.

the other shows an astronaut "in space" doing a flip, but the guy next to him clearly grabs a thin wire/line to help his buddy finish his little flip. The wire is the same stunt doubles use in Hollywood.

It's official NASA footage that flat earthers use to point out NASA lies a lot about space and that a lot of green screens and photoshop is used to give a false impression about our presence in space.

Except star motion is fixed around the poles. The northern polar constellation (polaris) and the southern polar constellation (octans) are fixed in place because they are directly above the Earth's poles.

Even if you train a camera on them all night long, they barely move an inch.

Do you admit that this renders the flat earth model impossible?

That's so fucking entry level it's not funny. The observations made by Eratosthenes work under either model. For the globe model they must assume that the sun is so big and far away that its rays are basically parallel by the time it reaches the Earth. It works just the same if you have a closer sun whose rays are not parallel, like how any other type of light will cast shadows in different directions depending on where the objects sit in relation to it. Footage such as this seem to indicate that the sun is indeed a lot closer than we think:

Resources are useless. They just sit there. It's people you want control of. People who will turn those resources into the things you want and give you their daughters willingly. If you want to achieve this kind of control on a mass scale then you are going to have to wield some pretty strong mind-control over them. You are going to have to wrest their very concept of reality from beneath them and replace it with something so confused and disconcerting that they are unable to tell which way is up, let alone that they're slaves, let alone who their master is.

>Ive seen breakdowns of the Pythagorean theorm and mathematical explanations of why is has cumulative errors when calculating larger areas

What? The Pythagorean theorem has no errors. It's been proven using multiple independent methods.

It's also not used to calculate areas. It calculates side of a triangle. You can use the sides of a triangle to calculate the area of that triangle. And it is possible at this point to introduce rounding errors and the like. but that has nothing to do with the pythagorean theorem.

Thus his experiment only works on a globe model. There is no footage indicating the sun is close. Just people being retards, e.g. your dogcam footage.

Because Latin was regularly taught in schools up to about 100 years ago. It was effectively a dead language, but everybody with an education knew at least a decent amount of vocabulary, so it became an excellent pool from which to draw terminology.

There's nothing to do with keeping things secret from the "majority." Scientific and legal terms are well defined and easily looked up for anybody who's not a lazy cunt.

>Why were the earliest European Christian theologians using Plato and Aristotle's models of social control to structure their own beliefs?

The Early Christian theologians didn't. Indeed they rejected Greek teachings as pagans and burned down the schools. It was only after hundreds of years of barbarism that they rediscovered Plato and Aristotle, and took interest in the things that they had to say.

Not really, european scholars used to travel to muslims countries for their studies. Only the religious nuts and the fanatics following them denounced it.
The vast majority of the population, like today, probably didn't care either way because peasants at the time had better things to worry about.
>>
>>18946172
There were cases of scholars who managed to do that, and they were able to do good work. But it was hardly viable and it did nothing to improve the situation in Europe.

It's not like today where anybody who wants to can go to college and become a research scientist.

According to this map, it wouldn't make sense for me to travel to asia from LAX like I did last year. if that map were true my flight from Honolulu to Bangkok would be around 30 hours.

Also, why is russia half the size of africa?

Is this all just a big joke?
>>

No, they just never look to closely at their own map.

Russia: 13 km^2
Africa: 30,4 km^2
>>
How come you can only see some constellations at certain times of the year?
>>
>>18946381
more like:
russia 17.100.000 km2
africa 30.370.000 km2
so indeed pretty much half the size
>>

Because you cant look through the sun, nor are you able to see stars in the bright daylight
>>
>>18946408
Right, so you wait until dark. But on the flat model, you'd see the same stars every night all year.
>>
>>18946443
No you wouldnt. Weak strawman
>>
>>18944938
This pic is not altered, believe me!!! No no no, don't look at the sun's rays, oh nvm they always look like this believe me!!! Also the edge is supposed to be way blurrier than the centre, as digital camera's have more photo receptor cells in the center of their retina. Btw, did you guys know I'm Jesus?

Not only would they not change, they would not change with latitude.

People in Australia would be able to see Polaris.

I think the edgys are blurrier anon because this is looking out of a curved window.

Just look into it before talking shit. You are basing your criticism on assumptions that are wrong. It is like a flatearther saying "I cant see the curvature from a 100ft tower, therefor the globe model is flawed". No, the model doesnt predict this.
Firmament and sun arent static
>>
>>18945024
I see compression artifacts, no greenscreen

So you're admitting that picture is taken through the equivalent of an lens that disturbs the actual proportions, and can therefor not be used as an reference???

NASA seems like a joke when you go watch one of their many fuck ups. I highly doubt they have filmed anything in space which makes me doubt the whole sphere story.
>>
>>18946488
No. I'm saying this picture is taken through a window and thus it's blurry around the edges.

All pictures are taken through lenses, that doesn't mean they can be disqualified as references.
>>
>>18946495
Why is the horizon flat but the sun rays bent?
>>
>>18946480
>You are basing your criticism on assumptions that are wrong

No, anon, I'm basing them based on clear, logical observations from the flat earth model as presented.

The consequences are that the flat earth model is wrong.

If you have a different flat earth model that does explain the stars and how they change throughout the year, I'd love to see it.
>>
>>18946481
Id like to hear your rationalization for the CGI microphone.
>>
>>18946498
The rays are bent because of the round curved window it's being taken from. What part of this are you failing to understand? Also the horizon isn't flat.
>>
>>18946503
>he thinks the microphone is cgi

Why wouldn't they just use a prop you retard?
>>
>>18945015
Normally it would be impossible of course, but since the two points are so high they sit above the horizon in accordance to eachother.
>>
>>18943294
>every war in history was fought to keep this knowledge contained
>including, apparently, back when everyone thought the earth was flat

Back then they must have been fighting to keep the secret of spherical earth hidden, then it changed shape and they had to fight to keep flat earth a secret

Whew, sounds exhausting for the generals!
>>
>>18945440
Listen.

If the earth was flat, you could see New York from London, you could see Shanghai from Seattle, you could see South Africa from New Zealand.

But we cant, because of the curvature of earth.

We can only see for a little bit, then the curve makes everything behind it and blocks it off from out view.

Because of the fact that we live on a globe.
>>
>>18946513
Everybody knows practical effects are dead
>>
>>18946540
Not the shape of the earth but the nature of it.
>>
>>18945015
So, it's from mountaintop to mountaintop, they were visible over the curvature, obviously.

It's not bending the light you dumb hillbilly, that's just where the light is hitting it. Just because it's curved it doesn't make it a lens.
>>
>>18946500
If you base your criticism on the assumption that FE involves the sky being completely static in relation to the earth, then thats just strawmanning. It is literally the same as claiming that you wouldnt see different constelation on a globe earth. You are arguing against a position that nobody is holding. But hey, strawmen are easy to burn

Either a flat earther did their math wrong, or the earth is approximately 400 miles in diameter.

Yes, the sun is past the moon. That' why we have lunar eclipses, but the sun never comes between the earth and the moon.

It's not. It has a round edge, thus the rays are hitting it in a curved fashion.

>>18946697
That's not what ad hominem means, retard. And the point was addressed.

>If you base your criticism on the assumption that FE involves the sky being completely static in relation to the earth, then thats just strawmanning.

They call it the firmament, don't they? But let's say, for the sake of argument, that it rotates.

That still doesn't explain the apparent motion of the stars. Polaris would still be visible from Australia. Which it isn't.

So if you have a different model of the flat earth, please present it? Because we can demonstrate that every model presented so far is wrong.

Flawed and also lazy. It discredits what's been said by literally every fucking person to experience and then write about the phenomenon. And the only argument flat brainers give to support that is "Well, clearly everyone that's ever written about staying on one of the poles lied". Yeah. Every one of them is in on the cupsnirmacy to hide that the earth is flat. Because that makes sense. Hundreds of thousands, even millions, of people are part of this cover-up which exists...uhhh...why does it exist again? If the earth was flat, why would that be hidden information? And while we're at it, who the fuck organizes this stuff? What committee gets together and forces every writer to stay at one of the poles to lie abotu their experience? Who convinces/pays hundreds of thousands of other shills to keep this lie afloat? Who even has the money to do that? And if you say the jews, I swear to god I will climb through this god damned laptop to slap your shit, you bunch of backwards ass troglodytes.
>>
>>18946789
Well that's the problem with flat earthers. They have no sense of scale. They never venture outside their basements, so they don't understand all the people who have looked up at the stars. Somebody on the youtube said that travel to Antarctica is off limits, so they never thing about the tens of thousands of people who visit every year.
