Holy shit thanks. I've been trying to find this for years. I remember one episode (I'm not even sure it was this show) where a kid gets beat up by his parents. They kill his pet parrots and the kid end up dying at the factory he's working in. Shit was disturbing.

I think he's talking about Twilight of the Cockroaches, which features traditional cel animation. Very similar premise but Twilight has more existential angst.

I was really young, like 3 or 4 maybe. My mother fell asleep on the couch while watching cartoons with me, the old ones they showed on Boomerang late at night. I decided that since she was sleeping, I could stay up and watch cartoons as long as I wanted. After like 5 episodes of Tom and Jerry, the Halloween episode came on where Tom and Jerry were living in a witch's house and did their usual shit with a slightly Halloweenish flavor. Super tame stuff. At the end of the episode, the witch flew off cackling, and I decided I'd go to bed, proud of myself for watching something scary. Woke up screaming about 30minutes later (this would've been really late, I could barely keep my eyes open watching the show), and my mom never found out about my cheeky transgression

Dunno what the name is but it was of some claymation aliens trying to repair their ship and go home from some barren ass planet. One was yellow and they were short.
