I generally reject graphics for every type of game but survivor horror
You need fantastic environments, highly detailed monsters to craft an immersive terror experience that makes you feel inside the game
Indie hipster faggots suggest games with graphics that looks like it came directly from Nintendo 64
You need to be a complete child to immerse in this because you have to fill in a lot of the graphical gaps with your imagination.

I'm a big fan of the SMT series but I'd define it as more of a fantasy style. It has a lot of /x/ related stuff but it never delves too deep into it, it's just the background for the game to develop in.
