I had a similar experience, but under a different archetypal mindset - they weren't "Aliens" to me, but rather something much more personal. I've heard about them asking one to keep quiet about it before, but they've never specifically asked that of me.

I'd really like to know whether that part is true because I've already told a few people about my experiences. Given how amazing it was, how could you not? The last thing I want to do is harm them, or put them in any sort of danger or possibly "interfering" or something like that.

I feel an overwhelmingly strong emotional connection to them. To me, I don't view them as "Aliens", or something inherently apart from myself. For lack of a better word, I see them as a "family" of sorts. What if we all have another set of "real" friends, lovers and descendants outside of this simulation? That would certainly explain the whole "why me?" aspect of it.
