Hey Ape, what's a better source on luciferianism than Mike W Ford?

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=la7ymj94eyk
>>
>>18918994
Yes. It was breaking down Robert, um, Monroe's(?) method. Had about ten or twelve various methods to chose from.

>>18919006
Depends on what you functionally want.
Most of Ford is ripped off of Chumbley, as is much of Current 218.
>>
>>18919011

I merely want to practice gnostic luciferianism as a spiritual practice.

Oh, you're unfamiliar with it, anyway, does the youtube of doom 2s music remind you the book?

We could go on a 80s-90s musical travel so you remember :3c

I think I will just grab Fords books and mix them up with what I already know, then keep searching I guess.
>>
>>18919023
>Oh, you're unfamiliar with it
Not really. I'm just asking you to define YOURSELF w/r/t these questions.
AFAIK there's no "Gnostic" text which deals with Lucifer and if you can point me to one I'd be highly interested.

It's my suspicion that "Gnostic" in this sense is just a stand in for "Chaos dharana". If that's what you want, you don't need Ford. If that's not what you want then we could potentially try to identify what you DO want.

>i'm going to mix low quality occultism with vague suspicions

and cmon /omg/ i was hoping for some in depth analysis or some kind of insight understanding. you are letting me down
>>
>>18919228
You asked for the simplest possible explanation, and that's what you got. It's significantly less complex than the "successive but self recursive hypostates" take.

Spirit animates matter via the dropping of Shin (Sh) into the elemental reality of YHVH leading to YHShVH. These letters have been attributed to numerous four-part symbols, including the classic elements, cardinal directions, Tarot suits, and so on. The formula is often represented by the Father (Yod) joining with the Mother (He), to produce the Son (Waw) and the Daughter (He-final). Within Yoga it is possible to see this formula as describing the union of the subject and the object to produce the exalted state of mind and the resulting ecstasy.

If you wanted more you should have said so. Jesus fuck.

There's an actual magic solution, etheric projection.
>>

>>

so a werewolf theoretically/historical speaking would have been a magician just controlling an animal. Thanks that's intresting
>>

>would have been a magician just controlling an animal
More like the other way around.
See - Dark Shamans: Kanaima and the Poetics of a Violent Death by Dr. Neil Whitehead.
>>
>>18919633
Not only.

Etheric projection can be done in two ways, one where the magician is kind of covered by a shell with the format of an animal. and the second one where the animal shape is projected out of the body.

Both projections are made of a quasi-material stuff called ether, which can interact with matter (as in footprints, claws, and teeth). However, this ether can be easily disrupted (think acid) by iron or silver.

If you attack one of the "skinned" shapeshipfters with one of those metals he probably will suffer severe shock. If you do the same to an externally projected one, you most likely will end with a body somewhere.

>ZHA/Invokation of the Shadow Selves

What system/praxis does this belong to? Or is it something of your design?
>>
>>18920300
So the current magister of the CS, Schulke, signs all of his esoteric materials as "VOX BAETYLA". The Voice of the Stone.

The final contemplative/practical instruction in DBoE is "projecting the shadow self" in which you work your shadow loose from your body and use it as a vehicle not unlike AP.

Schulke mentions a rite called something called the "Zha Baetyla". Chumbley mentions a rite called ZHA. Chumbley performed it under eclipse.

Totemic Invokation of the Shadow Selves was a VERY privately published grimoire from one of Chumbley's associates. It incorporates part of Chumbley's "Red Grimoire". TIotSS, of course, was performed between two eclipses.

So, I have:
>Fragments of TIotSS
>Hints on the nature of ZHA
>I know what (or more importantly, WHO) the Baetylus is
>I understand the general structure of Chumbley's rites
>And I have a convenient eclipse coming

All's I need is a script.

This would appear to depict the altar of a Sabbatic Working rising from the magic circle which has created circular ripples in the astral flux. The top of the altar has become gilded, blessed with the magical scripts and the icon of the trident eye. The conjuration of the circle is indicated by ribbon like magickal script and two staves, or columns, forming the gateway. The Wheel of Sight indicates we are witnessing this through astral vision. Sigils stir in the astral flux.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bethel_(god)
In the treaty between King Esarhaddon of Assyria and Ba‘al I king of Tyre in 677 BC, curses are called down on the Tyrian king if he breaks the treaty, including:

>May Bethel and Anat-Bethel deliver you to a man-eating lion.

The name Bethel begins to appear in theophorous name from the 7th century BC onward. Some, for example Porten (1969, p121), suspect it may be this god rather than the city of Bethel that is mentioned Jeremiah 48:13:

>And Moab shall be ashamed of Chemosh, as the house of Israel was ashamed of Bethel their confidence.

Essentially, I'll be erecting a standing stone as a Gravestone for the Sun.
I mean, it's more complex than this, but this will suffice.

**************************
>“Chant of the Fallen Altar-Stone at the Black Noontide”
In symphonic silence
& black visions of death
In exstasis becoming
In quickness of breath

The Wheel of Perception
Unfolds for the Flame
The lips of the seeker
Then utter the Name

The Chaos will part
As Wisdom then folds
The thunder casts forth
A Stone in the wolds

By midnight, by cunning
& 8 deeds of the day
By torment & toil
By timber, by clay

An Urn for the fathers
An Urn for the sons
A Snake for the Heart
And the Wytchblood that runs

Black salts of death
White salts of life
Elixirs of poison
Panaceas of strife

These powders projected
Call forth the stone
In the cauldron collected
Beyond all that is known

Six times thou art cleave'd
Six faces are hewn
Six axes in tracing
'Neath Sun blocked by Moon

Blargh. About one fifth done rewriting a version of The Opening of the Mouth from the tomb of Rekhmira.

I'm trying to figure out what a good substitution is for pellets of something that translates as "Cleaver of the Sky". It's not Natron.
I've already rewritten the purification with Natron.

Any suggestions?

Anyone?
Substitution for pellets of Cleaver of the Sky used in Egyptian Opening of the Mouth ritual?
Cleave - meaning to split, forcefully split, rend.
It's not something to be sprinkled - like the water or the natron...
They don't really say what they are doing with it besides circling the object whose mouth is being opened while holding it.
I could completely change this to a purification with fire, but I'd like to keep the structure the same and only change a few words or sacred names.
I already tried The Google.

HMU, you got a spell number it's tied to because I'm not drawing up any really decent subs. I've got a Faulkner edition of Coming Forth by Day that doesn't have Wasserman's grubby influence and then a copy of the vast majority of the Pyramid texts.

>>18924573

>>18924812
To my knowledge a Witch is technically just a term for a female magick user, although it may have some kind of connotation as well
>>
>>18924812
In England this was serious business.
https://www.thoughtco.com/english-witchcraft-laws-2561890
>>
>>18924895
>female
Not really. Plenty of male witches historically.

In anthropology witchcraft and/or sorcery are weapons; they can harm. Most everything else is 'magic' or 'ritual'.

>>18924913
^This.
>>
>>18924895
Yeah, it probably has some sort of connotation or origin, nowadays every magic practitionner says magic is just a tool, which it probably is, but the first witches, who were they, did they have any strong beliefs/motivation other thanm as we see in fiction, personnal motivation, doing evil, etc?
Because again nowadays there's too many different kind of witchcraft so it's way more free and can't be answered.
>>
>>18924938
>the first witches, who were they
Some unknown tribe now lost to prehistory.

>did they have any strong beliefs/motivation
Probably.

>there's too many different kind of witchcraft
That's probably the same through history.
Basque witchcraft =/= French witchcraft =/= African witchcraft =/= Amazonian witchcraft.
>>
>>18924944
Why is it so hard to get a conversation going with an academic about historical witchcraft? Ask a religious studies professor and it's not literary analysis of mainline christianity so they don't care, ask a sociologist and it's not bushniggers so they don't care, ask a gender studies professor and there were men involved so they don't care.
>>
>>18924996
>Why is it so hard to get a conversation going with an academic about historical witchcraft?
Because the second you start talking about it in the context of normative Euro historicity your career and social standing are at risk.

Like, there's a massive academic publishing complex on Western esoterica but I can't get ANY of my professors to give me coherent advice on how to be the guy PUBLISHING those books rather than reading them. But they're more than willing to send me up the Orinoco in search of a shapeshifting murder, sodomy, and cannibalism cult.
>>
>>18925002
>I can't get ANY of my professors to give me coherent advice on how to be the guy PUBLISHING those books
That may be totally out of place and dumb but if your goal here is to study and spread information for other reasons than money, why not use something as Youtube to talk about what you know instead of trying to find ways (apparently hard) to publish a book?
>>
>>18925013
Copyrights make a task like that sorta impossible. See the Golden Dawn Brick Clusterfuck.

Maybe at least for that, we will have an /omg/ pirate version with all needed corrections.
>>
>>18925002
It's okay to dig up the skeletons in other people's closets. I think deep down they all know that they're fucking fetishists and if they did half of what they do, especially the eternal anglo descriptions of how noble said savages are, to people who look like them and speak the same language, their offices would be firebombed.
>>
>>18925013
I unno, mate, a few reasons.
1) Different more and more permanent format.
2) I don't wanna be another low rent yt cleb that gets threads made about them on /his/ and/or /lit/.
3) I refuse to advert here like other fags who post their stream cashpots or post their new videos under the pretense it's a CURSED CLIP "oooOOOoooo".
4) I may be wrong on this but I feel like my odds of a stable cashstream are better with some Uni than with scrounging for YT hits.
>>
>>18925023
I have a professor who ran a TYPHONIAN OTO magazine in America who *refuses* to tell me how to become a doctoral candidate in a decent department where I can focus on Western esoterica, but will send me ten references to professors studying African divination he wants me enroll under.
>>
>>18925029
Now, I know some responses here:
>Go to the Netherlands
>Go to the Warburg
Bullshit, there are dozens of texts I have in the Euro file by obscure professors in various departments across the globe, but they've already committed career suicide by being THAT GUY so nobody directs me to them.
I could just do the legwork myself and start sending out mass emails but you'd think advisors would, y'know, advise.
>>
>>18925029
>>18925039
I'd say go for the PhD in religion, but they're glorified english majors.

They always deny it when I say it, but academia is a money game and the occult makes everyone who okayed it look bad unless it's about the oppressed and noble savages. It calls into question why funds are going to entire departments because it's not like their shit is any different, cf. communication studies.
>>
>>18922791
In the tomb of Rekhmira it's Opening of the Mouth sequence 7 or 8 I think?
The reference I was using was calling it "pellets of Cleaver of the Sky".
I really DIDN'T want to use the Papyrus of Ani, even though it more complete.
The Tomb of Rekhmira is a condensed version that would be faster to complete.
I don't have a good private space right now.
So, efficiency is key here.
The revolutions around the item while sprinkling and reciting I think will already cost me enough time.
I'm thinking this is gonna have to be done in the wee hours when everyone else is asleep.
>>18924812
The ORIGINAL definition of a witch was a poisoner.
Someone who used poisons against people, specifically the landed gentry or people of mediocre or higher class status.
A poisoner could be a man or a woman of any age.

I'm trying to begin working towards Knowledge and Conversation of my Holy Guardian Angel, and had a few questions

How versed in Enochian should I be/where to start?

How much core Thelema should I understand prior?

In practice, hereditary lineages tend not to be full family trees, but adept members culled from the greater clan who keep it secret from the rest of their kin.

In reality, most public practitioners are full of shit because that kind of attention is unwelcome and comes with getting stabbed and buried at christmas.
