Anon who had two psychosis that lasted for months both times reporting in.

I first became interested in the paranormal, spirituality, religion and philosophy, after my first psychosis. I experienced it as some kind of Gnosis. It's still hard to make sense of these times I went psychotic, but I can also take much away from it, I know now that God exists, and that we aren't just going to cease to exist after we die. It opened my eyes, and saved me from being your typical boring "reddit atheist" all my life.

Having said that, I also think psychosis is an illness, a spiritual accident of some sort maybe, but definitely something that has to be treated, and I'm very thankful for the help psychiatry has to offer.

I'm torn between going to sleep and elaborating more on my psychosis, but I think for now I'll have to say goodnight and see if this thread is still up in the morning. For now have my bump, psychotic bro, I hope this will make for an interesting thread and read the coming day.

I was sectioned when I had my psychotic break and was forced into an asylum. I seemed to think it was a spiritual break through too but the doctors their seemed to disagree.

Music started changing when I listened to it, different lyrics etc and this is a re-occurring theme of my psychosis.

I remember a few of the theories I came up with while psychotic. Mainly that the universe itself is like an eye, or starts as one eye then slowly it is separated into multiple eyes through madness.

Same here.

With me, psychosis felt like living out the old messiah myth. So when I listened to the radio, the lyrics told me that I was the chosen one, here to save all people on earth, to get them into heaven.

At least that was one of the main themes during psychosis, there were others, but this was definitely one of the main ones.

Looking back I don't know, I certainly don't feel like a messiah anymore, but there also was something real to it, like I was in contact with god back then, like he put me in his shoes to teach me a lesson, maybe? All I know for sure, is that a lot of repressed subconscious problems of myself surfaced during psychosis, I was also tested by the divine, and in the coming years I could work on the now conscious problems of mine. That was one very cathartic aspect of my psychosis. Also it made me not depressed anymore, before my first psychosis, being a depressed atheist I was thinking about suicide way too much, now this is all gone and I'm actually a happy person again, like I was when I was still young.

But as said, there was a lot of going on, I could probably write whole books on what was all going on in these psychotic months and still have more to write about, and much of it is so abstract I can't find the right words for it. But yeah.. strangest thing such a psychosis, a strange, exhausting, awesome, exciting, sometimes dangerous, life changing, profound, divine, spiritual rollercoaster ride, or something like that.

The radio thing happened to me too, I felt like the radio was directly talking to me

Also I started seeing people differently, like my awareness increased. I noticed facial movements I never noticed before like people licking their lips.

I also thought whenever someone said "it" they were referring to me, so for example if someone said "It's nice today" they were referencing to me.

The Jews, Muslims and Christians have a lot of money invested in covering up the existence of God. Their entire identity is based around terror in the name of God and murdering God's prophets and has been for thousands of years.

I'm pretty sure you're not "the messiah" (there's never going to be a messiah because the Jewish book is a ruse and always has been - the gospels claim Jesus is the messiah to try to rescue some Jews from their psycho-killer rape and murder cult).

But, yes, finding out God is real for certain is always a relief.

"The Messiah" has a lot of baggage to it, and I wasn't raised christian, so not even during psychosis or ever did I think of myself as the second coming of Christ.

But it's an effect of psychosis that you feel like the One. Like maybe Neo in the matrix, to use a modern methaphor. Like the superhero in your own hero story, the main character in your own computer game you're playing. It's an old archetypical hero myth that you have to play out, a dramatic hero play you get to take part in..

In hindsight, again to use a metaphor, it felt like we are all playing a giant mmorpg, and I became aware of playing in my own client of this mmo, being the only real player in it with all other players essentially just being shadows of their real selves, not really real, and with me just having opned the developer console trying to unlock all kinds of cheats and ultimately god mode. If that makes any sense to you, which it probably doesn't. But that's as close as I get to explaining how it actually felt, and I used a lot of computer metaphors to make sense of what was happening during psychosis, so it seems fitting.

Now medicated though, I'm not sure of that aspect, if it has truth to it, if this is the nature of reality, or if it was just an effect of psychosis itself, of getting close to God. As said, it's hard to really make sense of it all.

Well, you would have evidence if you were a god. Jesus isn't going to come back to life - the Jews murdered him - but he's certainly alive.

As far as evidence goes, you can always find evidence if you are looking hard enough for it, especially in a psychotic state of mind.

When I was psychotic the whole world spoke to me and everything told me that I was god, literally everything was evidence for that very fact.

It's just I went so far down the rabbit hole, I got admitted to a mental health clinic and put on neuroleptics, not out of my free will, but because I was catatonic and my life was in danger. Now medicated I see the world with a different set of eyes again, and said evidence looks totally different to me now. Still who knows, maybe we are all God in disguise, or something gay like that.

But hey, good luck to you, I think you'll need it later down the road.

I met a girl online who claimed she had visions as a kid of "shadow people" or something and everyone called her crazy. This was last February I met her...

I had been blogging for a while about how some celebrities had been dropping dead in relation to things I would write on blogs - like when George Michael dropped dead the day after I said I was being apotheosized by God.

When she was a kid she wanted to be a witch - and she grew up to call herself a Priestess of Kek. When I was a kid I wanted to be a servant of God and I grew up to be a "witch" in service of "Kek." And I just "coincidentally" met her on Twitter. I told her how celebrities would drop dead "coincidentally" (I prefer "fatalistically") from my posts online and she showed me she had thought Carrie Fischer had dropped dead in perfect timing with a tweet she had made.

I have her tweet posted left, you can verify it exists on Twitter publicly but I'd ask you not to harass her or anything out of politeness.

If we're talking drug psychosis then I think it is the price paid to have ones third eye ripped open as it where without proper preparation. I think of the shamans in the jungle, like in Castaneda, and how this care and preparation are really important before one meets with the 'spirits' because they might get furious with you. That's how I saw it anyway when I had my psychosis. The hardest part now is trying to breach the gap between full on meta physical concepts and the normal world who would see all of this as mental illness. I mean, a lot of what we think and talk about on /x/ others would see as insane because they don't believe in any of it. Despite the fact that we have reason for believing in it.
