Yes, i read all the book of Mme Blavatsky, in approximativelly 2 years, 2 hour by day at minimun, almost everyday. Before to fall in her book, i was a big fan of gurdjieff, and already aware with most of religion and myth. I try to convince some friend (with good background in educational) and i didn t find someone finish it. I never read or have look on a book of the kind of the secret doctrine.It s a kind of hard concept, but first you have to read without understand the notion that she use because it s a kind of a puzzle. I also read every thing in link with the mahatma (just the book approved by HPB)

I used to have Isis Unveiled & the Secret Doctrine. They are crammed full of information, but she tends to jump from one subject to the next. Despite the disjointed nature of said works, nobody could deny her knowledge.

Hey guy, i'm french, i lived my childhood with guenon story and not just this guy many other occult people in paris (Papus for example). Guenon is a bullshit guy. Guenon didn t like HPB because after travelling in india and tibet, she stop in france and want to open a center, she contact guenon and other and create an organization. I think guenon it s a kind of child story teller. He work on the fact that people are just interested in miracle and power. But miracle doesn t exist. THE SECRET DOCTRINE, although so full of esoteric bullshit, has many beautiful diamonds too and many lotuses. There is much rubbish in it because she was a collector. She went on collecting all kinds of rubbish from everywhere possible, without bothering whether it was useful or not. She was great at putting all that useless nonsense in a systematic way. A very systematic woman. But there are a few – sad to say only a few – diamonds here and there.
On the whole the book is not worth much. I am including it just so that a few women are included in my list and I am not thought to be a male chauvinist "

he was certainly on the way but far from the end. You have to note that in every cult in any part of the worl, the renounciation of possession is a general law. Guénon was actually extremely learned in Vedanta and Hinduism in general.

The fact remains that Blavatsky metaphysically contradicted herself numerous times about the doctrine, Mahatmas and numerous other things. She also used numerous Buddhist and Hindu terms incorrectly.

I wholeheartedly recommend everyone to read René Guénon´s: Theosophy: History of a Pseudo-Religion.

uénon agrees that Blavatsky was a brilliant, clever, one of a kind woman, but she clearly had no idea most of the time what she was even talking about.

Blavatsky´s theosophy is exactly what one would call Pseudo-religion or pseudo-occultism.
