FYI: a theory gaining traction isn't it being "debunked". Nothing has been proven and nothing ever will be proven. It probably was just the mom, but we'll never know for certain and it certainly isn't debunked just because the popular opinion all agrees on one thing. If we worked like that then the West Memphis 3, Michael Peterson and Stephen Avery are all innocent just because they had documentaries "debunking" their cases.

Yes. Apparently they were on a launch pad that some missiles were being tested around. Also, apparently 2 people in black suits came to his door after word about the photo got out. They said they were government agents but refused to show him ID. He also said they didn't use names and referred to each other by numbers. He took them out to where the photo was taken and when he explained that he didn't actually see the figure the day of the photo, but it appeared in the photo afterwards, they apparently got angry and left him out there, making him half to walk back home.

I've been here since 2007. Again, a bunch of anons agreeing on it doesn't debunk it. We'll never know for sure. The mother was in another picture which has already been readily available ever since the 60s when the picture was taken. He's released 2 of the 3 photos he took that day from the beginning. The mother was wearing a blue dress. Some speculate that it looks white because of bloom. Other people say it's not her and it's just a completely fake image with someone put in in post becuase of the lighting direction. Kodak claims the photo is 100% undoctored and offered lifetime free film (a VERY enticing deal especially for the 60s, even today if you're a photographer who likes to shoot analog) to anyone who could prove otherwise, and it's never been proven.

Once again, is it probably the mother? Yeah, it probably is. But you can't prove that it is, and it'll never be able to be proven that it is unless a 3rd party comes forward who was also there that day and happened to snap a picture at the exact same time from a different angle.

You also conveniently ignored the fact that the mother's dress is blue, and the only way to make the figure behind the girl look even remotely blue is to go into photoshop and recolor it blue yourself. Even if the figure in the background was overexposed, the shadows would still have a tinge of the real color. They wouldn't be the flat grey we're seeing there. You're also completely ignoring the missile launch that was cancelled in area that took place on the same day because of two figures who looked like the figure in the image were in the launch zone.

The Solway Firth Spaceman refers to a photograph taken by Jim Templeton on May 23, 1964. The photograph included his daughter, and in the background what it looked like to be an image of an astronaut. In 2002, Templeton stated "I took three pictures of my daughter Elizabeth in a similar pose – and was shocked when the middle picture came back from Kodak displaying what looks like a spaceman in the background."
He took the photograph to a police station, and the results were that the photograph had nothing suspicious about it, making it a real photograph. To this day, no one knows who or what the spaceman is, or how it appeared in the shot.

Okay, so the photo has been proven to be 100% legit and not tampered with, correct? However, some people seem to missing a crucial detail about this particular photo.

Even though there's evidence that the photo hasn't been messed with, there's still no objective evidence that proves who this "astronaut" person was. To clarify, the astronaut figure could've been easily faked by anyone who was taking the photo. For example, it could've been a person wearing a costume or an action figurine intentionally placed there to fool people.

since this is a unsolved mystery thread i will post it here

my car broke down yesterday. i wandered the wilderness. i got lost though was heading is about the right direction. i cut through the woods near the interstate. at 1 point i smelled something rancid. not feces but like a dead animal thats been baking in the hot sun. i noticed that i hadnt even seen a bug for the last mile let alone a squirrel or anything large enough to not just dry out if it died. i think some one may have been in a similar situation and died out there. i made it back however

i would call the cops but i dont think i could even point them in the right direction at 1 point i know i was going in circles. not sure where all the animals were. no birds or anything like 100% flora .no fauna

it might have been all the animals. a mass death of shit. it happens. never could find what was making the smell . the wind changed direction and i didnt want to wander about i wanted to get home.

following the interstate isnt a good idea. enough people get hit in my state crossing the street on roads that have a 30 mph speed limit. interstate people go 90
