So we've got the mandela effect and the whole theory that people have false memories associated with other timelines. That we all somehow ended up here with those memories. Maybe there was some major disaster that killed us, or maybe we all just died individually in mundane ways and got here that way. Maybe there is no timelines, but fuck it, for the sake of it let's just assume there is.
If we did travel between timelines, what do you think is the condition that would allow travel? is it fully within consciousness, are the LHC experiments pushing us into new timelines during every particle acceleration? or are we just dying?
people are wrong and misremeber things
deal with it

Why do you think they misremember things?
I believe strong will and belief powering it can alter the way things "should be" if things aren't right already. I believe that is the basis of hopping timelines

because I don't use /x/ for escapism

One thing I've noticed is that when you're a child and have less barriers in reality, when you still think a lot of things can still happen, reality does seem to change physically as well. When I was young I experienced a lot more spooky shit than I do now, since I both lived out in the country icilated from large groups of people with my family, and had less of humanity grounding me in reality.
