No it isn't, retard. There were plenty of shows that came long before it like Kolchak and Twilight Zone. X-Files wasn't even the first of it's kind during the decade it came out. Twin Peaks had it beat by a few years. The only reason why X-Files even happened was because of the success of Twin Peaks so if anything is the father of paranormal, it would be that.

First 3 seasons of Supernatural. X-files is cool for a few seasons too. As far as 'reality' tv goes that Zac Bagans show is edgy as fuck but still entertaining.
