My aunt took this photo today and my wife noticed something was off about it, I can't think of anything that would explain this. It was taken on an iPhone 6. (If you don't see it zoom in) I'll post a zoomed photo in the thread too. Anyone have actual explainations on how this happens?

Glitch. One time I was texting my mother and I went to refer to Aunt (so and so) and it came out as Cunt (so and so) because of auto-correct.
When a cell phone takes a picture, it actually takes lots of pictures and then combines it using a proper algorithm. These pictures are taken in a span of milliseconds.
What happened here is that when combining those pictures to form the actual picture, due to the movement of the child, the algorithm misinterpreted what was going on and formed a anomalous picture.
Simple as that. Nothing paranormal here.

Digital cameras can fuck up in weird ways sometimes. This looks like the type of glitch you see fairly often with Google street view pics.
