this place likes to envision that there are only a few centuries between us today and the times of Christ. I was wondering more about alternative theories that aren't the Greenland one though.
If only people kept some kind of... calendar or something.

I have a theory that Greenland looks really big on a map due to spacial problems involved in mapping out a sphere on a flat surface... I'm still in the initial hypothesis stage, though.

Greenland theory is by far the most retarded theory after flat earth i think..

The Gregorian calendar is internationally the most widely used civil calendar. It is named after Pope Gregory XIII, who introduced it in October 1582.
Who knows is 1582 was 2ad or not.

are you this simple-minded that you think someone has been alive to document that all of those days took place in the linear order you've been told?
>>18863455
saved your check I see
>>18863465
In fact there were many people alive to document all those years, independently. Not to mention natural sources of timekeeping, like tree rings.
>>18863438
Yes, the Gregorian calendar was introduced in 1582. The calendar makers had calculated that it had been 1582 years since the birth of Jesus. The starting point of a calendar is arbitrary. What matters is that those days and years actually passed. We know they did because people lived during all of those times, and wrote things down, even if they used different calendars.
>>18863465
No, there has been millions of these people. Then there is geological dating and shit like tree rings and carbon dating.
