Both the Soviet Space program and the US space program publish photos (25 years apart) of a large cigar shaped UFO orbiting the planet Mars.

let's say the rover is on earth, doesn't explain the anomaly photographed at least twice in 2014. It's not Phobos or Deimos. It could be one of the human orbiting crafts, but NASA did not identify which one it would be. As it stands it's a real UFO.
so you decide to post this useless shit which takes 5 minutes to explain. wonder what you're trying to achieve?

just like the weird structures in antarctica or the moon or mars, they don't go about advertising it, but they don't really bother hiding them too hard either.

it's soft disclosure, tv and movies is another type of soft disclosure, you keep hinting at it through conspiracy theories and fiction and entertainment until everyone around the world suspects whats going on. then you stage some kind of event which makes the government seem like the good guys and gives them enough plausible deniability or reasonable doubt as to why they weren't open with the information from day 1.

If you give them the benefit of the doubt, you can say that they saw what we are seeing, didn't knew what to make of it and let it be, until they find a more compelling evidence or an explanation.

they know exactly what it is, an alien object.

if you've ever worked in a bureaucracy, which NASA is, you will understand how it works. Everyone KNOWS, and nobody owns it, because it's an uncomfortable truth. There are more unknowns than knowns since contact is impossible and communication attempts failed over and over.

Embarrassing myself how? I'm not staking my public identity, reputation or livelihood on any of this information. There is a giant fucking cylinder orbiting Mars. As a tax payer I want a public statement of acknowledgement and an open discussion over the fact there are weird anomalous objects which were clearly manufactured either lying dormant, deactivated or destroyed, or acting on their own all over our solar system, including penetrating our national airspace.

>>18846848
A skeptical person would say flippantly it is one of these:
And the reason it appears like a cylinder is an artefact of the exposure rate of the camera and the steady motion of the objects orbit.

A closer inspection of the gif I posted and the youtube videos that guy did in 2014 and mostly got ignored, shows other objects travelling at comparable rates of speed which are clearly point sources. So why is the camera not smudging the point sources but smudging the satellite? Because it's shaped like a cylinder, and that previous explanation is bs.

Finding the 14 known orbital paths of the man-made Martian satellites and recalculating for the 2 occurrences of the navcam imaging this object is a non-trivial task.

At some point the weight of evidence has to shift your position from, I can explain this to, okay wtf is this and why aren't we talking about it openly at the official level. The answer is probably horrific, they know and they simply cannot tell people, including their own employees.
>>
>>18847352
Okay Thanks for explaining! But i wonder, how do you know all this and when NASA are lying or not?

Because NASA employees are human beings with their own personal prejudices and opinions, obviously some people working there feel like this should be discussed.

I've been looking for real UFO footage for 15 years and the official NASA footage is better (from the shuttle missions, the ISS, the Mars missions, Apollo missions) than a lot of what humans can take on the ground. Earth's atmosphere gets in the way of photographing or filming the sky, especially fast moving objects. In space it's much easier to get clear pictures of things that move against the dark background.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PqN-KLOCS5k

Let's say I'm a super skeptic and I take Jeff Challender's videos as interesting clips of natural phenomena, debris, satellites. Okay, Earth orbit is filled with junk that just orbits us from all of the past missions. Mars doesn't have that problem, so a weird object orbiting Mars is very interesting to me, if I want to make the alien UFO case.
>>
>>18847444
>Mars doesn't have that problem
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_missions_to_Mars
>There is a number of derelict orbiters around Mars whose location is not known precisely;there is a proposal to search for small moons, dust rings, and old orbiters with the Optical Navigation Camera on Mars Recon. Orbiter.[16] There should be 8 derelict Mars orbiters barring unforeseen events if they have not decayed as of 2016.[17] One example is Mariner 9, which entered Mars orbit in 1971 and is expected to remain in orbit until approximately 2022, when the spacecraft is projected to enter the Martian atmosphere and either burn up or crash into the planet's surface.[18] The Viking 1 orbiter is predicted not to decay until at least 2019.[19] One orbiter that is confirmed to have undergone Mars atmospheric entry is Mars Climate Orbiter

To go back to your gif, two things I noticed:
1) The stars in the background are increasing in number with each frame. This means the gif is a sequence of pictures from a timelapse. The lens shutter was left open, which means anything moving will have streaks behind it and motion blur.
2) The "cylinder" moves the exact length of itself with each frame. It is also oriented perfectly with it's path of motion. This is exactly what we would expect if it is not in fact a cylinder, but a smaller object leaving a motion trail from the timelapse.

its just another rover that was doing tricks
>>
>>18839513

>>
>>18847572
i already explained this here >>18847352

Why isn't the entire image smeared and just the cylinder? There are multiple other objects moving across the 6 images, the best example is the one I circled in red, but there are objects moving with the cylinder also, following it's leading edge and rotating around it. Why does the object look so similar to the one filmed entering the crater in Mexico in 2012 here: >>18843009 Why did NASA offer such small resolution pictures to the public when that camera has this resolution capability (picture related).

The Apollo 11 cameras had high contrast low frame rate anti-blur technology in the form of Westinghouse slow-scan Lunar Camera, SEC tube:
This classified technology was allowed to be used by the DoD, most people working on the Apollo program would not have had a need to know, it was a compartmentalized mission with every sub-contractor doing their part. So the cameras on the 2011 NASA curiosity are more primitive than those of the 1969 Apollo 11 lunar lander?

>>18847743
Is this a serious question? Space has applications for weapon delivery systems.

NASA has a near monopoly on space outside low earth orbit, no other country is even close in terms of space exploration or human firsts. Anything it discovers is filtered through military channels before it trickles down to the public, because all information can be used to gain an advantage over other nations on Earth. To think otherwise is counterfactual. The DoD, Pentagon, CIA, US Military are spending nearly a trillion dollars on defence, but they are ignoring space? You really believe that? The first country to have an orbital strike bomber can cripple an ICBM nuclear first strike since all long range missiles are designed to be atmosphere breakers, launching up vertically in a long parabolic path to avoid land and air based interceptors.
