I guess this sounds crazy but I feel like I opened a part of my mind and went crazy from the revelation in some Lovecraftian way. It was a highly gnostic experience. I thought my girlfriend was the goddess of wisdom. I practiced theurgy. I pierced through Maya. I became Brahman. Felt kundalini psychosis. Reality re-arranged itself before me...
Yeah, if you are a diagnosed schizo now than you most definitely gave it to yourself during your philosophical spiritual journey. If you are self diagnosing yourself, you're probably getting close to the real thing.

well nobody is born experiencing schizophrenia, it develops in young adulthood.
so yes, you could say that you 'gave yourself' schizophrenia in the same way that one 'gives themselves' puberty.

Nah you need the "right" set of genes for it to develop, but environmental factors like psychedelics definitely help triggering it.
Well, welcome to the wonderful world of schizophrenia my friend, I myself been diagnosed with it for eight years now. If you want my two cents on the subject, don't dwell too much on it, at least not all the time, like don't spend all your time on the internet philosophizing about it and focus on holding up a real life too. Try to hold down a job, social life, etc..
As they say in Buddhism, before enlightenment, chop wood carry water, after enlightenment, chop wood carry water.
Not saying psychosis is necessarily the same as buddhist enlightenment btw, but it is definitely a profound visceral spiritual experience that changes your whole life too.

also it's nice to meet another schizo who had a similar gnostic kind of psychosis than me, if you want we could stay in contact and chat a bit more about this kind of thing, if you're up for it. I know I'm always looking for people to chat with, who had this kind of experience to talk about , because we're rather rare and it's a fascinating topic to talk about.
I have to go to work now, but here's a discord I just created, come join if you like: https://discord.gg/MyRV2zw I'll be there later in about 5 hours or so.

I think the psychiatric community has done a lot of damage to what we percieve as mental diseases thanks to labels, the schizopfrenia you have is not the same schizofrenia another person has.
As an homologated hypnotist that works with clinical hypnosis and goes to the experimental side of hypnosis in his free time, i can tell you it's possible to provoke (not just induce) "schizophrenia" ,meaning that any psychiatrist would diagnose you with schizophrenia if you'd go for a check.
I can't give my opinion about your case because you're expecting a concrete answer regarding the occult, and what i think about your situation has nothing to do with the occult, so i'll abstain.
you'll come to Jesus soon. they all do
No but you can have symptoms of schizophrenia pretty easily. I have depression and have symptoms similar to those of schizophrenia and ADD.
Reality re-arranged itself before you? Can you elaborate
